@Guard Dog - As a person Andy I like you, your heart seems to be in the right place.

But... Like most other members here, I'm also a full time affiliate. I operate a business, the proceeds of that, provides me a living; it keeps the wolves from the door. If a program who I've promoted, is found to be up to dodgy antics; especially an AGD sponsor, then I'm going to call them out. My delivery, sometimes, may not be to everyone's liking. Things is, I don't have the luxury of another income, so I'm not about to spend time sugar coating stuff. I'm going to call it as I see it, straight up!

they geo-redirect traffic to other brands (ie. UK traffic goes to lucky247.com) with ZERO reward for the referring affiliate, ie. Go Wild keep all that money for themselves.

FictionNet posted that, then you follow it up with this:

Sometimes we need to give companies a break. I don't think they could have done much more. And from my understanding.. their casino actually DOES convert.

FictionNet post that GoWild is essentially stealing referred UK players from affiliates. Taking ALL the credit for these players and pocketing the commissions. Yet your essentially saying that GoWild are great guys and should be cut some slack!

That made me see RED... GoWild are paid sponsor of AGD. And all I could see was excuses being made for their bad behaviour. I'm sorry if what I said, hurt your feelings Andy. But this isn't play-school... People's livelihoods, their families welfare are on the line here.

The same approach and excuses were given when Affactive were screwing affiliates over. Everything Affactive told you, what they posted to the forum, was a load of BS. Yet you continued to make excuses for them, and go into bat for them.

You always ask for proof, I supplied it. Now I'd like to know, what you intend to do about GoWild stealing players from affiliates?

My feeling is that if I send a program ANY traffic at all - I damn well better get credit for it. If a program redirects, they better credit me and it should not come as a surprise to me that they are redirecting my traffic (meaning this should be disclosed before hand).

Anything short of this is theft in my opinion.

my thoughts are if they are happy to steal from affiliates in plain sight what else are they up too that we don't know about ?

There is no mystery to it. All businesses suffer some monetary losses. The key is to try and minimize them. You have to decide if it is worth your while via the money you earn despite the loss of some UK players.

If not then solve the problem one way or another. Waiting for a program to suddenly be christened with integrity is not a business solution.

Exactly. We're in the business of making money, not in the charity business, to give it away!

I have to agree with the majority here, Go Wild's stealing of referred players/revenue is not acceptable. I personally will never forgive them for it.

I see GoWild are STILL listed as an AGD Certified Sponsor... Will they be stripped of that title, and thrown into the Roguehouse, or... will the matter just sit here, hoping, it will fade away...

Oh seems they've decided to go the email route. I've received the same three (3) mailers, to all my business email accounts, today.

Hello Dave,

I'm Andreea, your Account Manager at GoWild Affiliates. I'm very pleased to meet you!

Can you please tell me if you're still interested in working with us? Because I would like to restart our collaboration and help you convert your traffic sources into generous monthly earnings.

I can gladly start taking care of fresh new creatives for you that will perform exceptionally well. Do you have any specific media requests (banners, mailers, etc.) to update your current links and materials?

I'm open to discuss about a new deal and about the opportunity of growing our partnership.
Please let me know what you could do in order to guarantee our brands GoWild Casino and Wild Jackpots some good exposure and traffic.

From what GEOs are you currently getting traffic from?

I look forward to your reply!

Kind Regards,

I always find it funny after you remove they want to work with you again. If you go through the trouble to remove most likely you will not be giving exposure again or anytime soon.
Affiliates have ups and downs as google does it changes so they should never count out a partner just because they may be having a bad stretch, just a simple algo change can make all the difference.

So I'm guessing...
Even though proof has been provided of GoWild stealing UK players, and affiliate commissions, they still remain as a sponsor... So much for putting AGD members ahead of $'s... just sayin!

I'm only aware of UK traffic/revenue being stolen. If it's happening to the UK, there's every chance they're doing it with traffic/players from other countries too. All without even bothering to INFORM affiliates that it's happening.

It is the time of lawlessness, no control, the predatory behaviour practised by pirates in our industry. If you allow GoWild to do this as a silver sponsor I just do not want to contribute to this otherwise great forum.

They're only able to steal your players if you promote them.

So from the posts, I suspect the program continues to steal from affiliates while being an endorsed program here?

ok.. I have been away while people go on rants against me. lol. That always seems to happen.. I love that it is always multiple posts calling in to question my motives. Makes me laugh to be honest - so, no, I'm not upset or whatever stupidity was posted above.

Regardless - I will talk internally to the group. Here are my thoughts on the surface:

#1 - Sponsorship has never taken precedence here. Everyone knows that. Y'all can keep bringing up stupid shit like that when you are upset - doesn't bother me. However - I think you should also post [after the tirade] something like: "we know this is not true".

#2 - GoWild, as I recall, told everyone this was going to happen when they stopped taking UK players. They also transferred all players to 32Red accounts. They had only 2 options... Lock all UK players and do nothing with your traffic - or transfer players to 32Red under your account. Seems like they did the right thing and 32Red is not making good on that transaction.

I didn't have a whole lot of traffic, but during this time when they told us to contact them and make sure players were transferred - I had this discussion:

Andy said:
Hello,
Can you please let me know what I must do to see my GoWild players that were sent to 32Red?

Diana said:
Hi Andrew,

Thank you very much for your email.

My name is Diana and I am your GoWild Affiliates dedicated account manager. Pleasure meeting you.Feel free to contact me whenever you need anything.

When it comes to the UK players that have been migrated to 32Red, please contact affiliates@32red.com for an update.

As far as I can see on your GWSeoX account you only had 3 sign ups in total and none of those 3 were from UK, so there was nothing to migrate to 32Red. I did not locate a second account that you might have with us.

If there is anything else I can do for you, please let me know

Which, I was satisfied with. Mainly, I supposed, because I had no players to speak of.

And here was the original email from GoWild that prompted my email to them about 32Red transfer:

GoWild said:
Dear affiliate,

We have been servicing players from the UK for over 5 years and have enjoyed being part of a vibrant and competitive market. Further to announcements detailing the proposed new licensing, regulatory and taxation regimes in the UK, we undertook a thorough review of our UK business going forward. Further to that review we have decided to focus on our successful international operations and have withdrawn from the UK market. We were happy to have reached an agreement with 32Red Plc who then purchased our UK database.

As our valued business partner, we’d like to inform you that these imminent changes would come into effect starting the 10th September 2014. To ensure your continued revenue generation, only UK accounts will be migrated to 32Red.com. The migration commences on the 10th September to be completed by the 15th of September and will include all and only UK account holders.

To ensure your revenue share commission, we have agreed that UK players affiliated with your account would be migrated to your existing 32Red.com affiliate account. If you don’t have an account with 32red affiliate program, please register one at http://affiliates.32red.com at the earliest convenience. We have agreed that your commission structure will remain on the same level unless you have an existing commission agreement with 32red.

Rest assured that all revenue generated before the migration date will remain under your GoWild account earnings to guarantee you will not lose out on commission. For any customers located outside of these territories we are continuing to operate as normal and as such you will continue to receive payments in respect of their activity.

As always we are here to assist you with any query or help you may require, please feel free to contact us at any time. Furthermore, for your convenience we have also setup a dedicated migration team at 32red that will handle this process on their side and is available at:

gowildaffiliates@32red.com

Sincerely Yours,

GoWild Affiliates Team.

So - what am I missing here? It appears to me they have done everything in their power to both warn affiliates to stop sending UK traffic (if you don't want them going to 32Red) AND giving affiliates every opportunity to work with those players on a 32Red account. Remember - at that time 32Red was considered one of the best casinos.

I suppose they could have kept all players, locked them, and you get no commissions moving forward. Is that a better solution for everyone involved, though? I would think not.

Open to discussion, but it's the weekend and family time for me. As far as last week - I was working with a major US manufacturing company to get their MES and controls systems operational, so I wasn't ignoring this or any of that above crap (just had to mention that again in case you didn't understand that from the earlier comments), lol.

Pretty sure this will be my last post here. This isn't a 32 Red issue - it's a theft of traffic/players issue without payment to the referring affiliate.

Good luck, everyone.

Andy - I personally am not levying accusations against you. I'm too new here and haven't seen enough to either make accusations or defend the forum and sponsorship policy.

With that out of the way, I see two separate and distinct issues.

The first is that a massive amount of players simply stopped playing on the transfer to 32Red.

The second is the redirection of UK traffic to a program that is obviously not 32Red. And worse yet, "the boys" are not getting credit for this traffic in any fashion.

In following this thread, I do not see much administrative focus on the second part (by administrative, I mean from the program). I personally would like to see an open dialogue by the program addressing this in the forum.

Cheers,

Shay

My sites are geotargeted, so GoWild's practice of redirecting UK players to Lucky247 doesn't affect me -- but I can see how this would upset webmasters who don't know how to use geotargeting.

One solution would be for GoWild to implement a bounceback link like Rewards has. If a visitor from a disallowed country clicks a link to the casino, they are instead redirected to a different URL of the affiliate's choosing -- not to some other casino where the affiliate gets zero credit for the referral.

Another solution would be for GoWild to give their affiliates the choice to have their visitors land on the GoWild homepage anyway, regardless of which country they are from, even if it means the visitor can't sign up and deposit.

A third, more complex solution would be to continue redirecting to Lucky247, but add the proper affiliate tag to the links.

GoWild rep, can you please comment?
