Your pay-out request for 1762.00 USD has been processed to your Bitcoin account;
0.17007 to bitcoin address YYYYY
My response:

0.17007 was only ~1660 USD when you sent it out. What is your payment fee for bitcoin?
Obviously, I chose a bitcoin payout since the fees for other payout methods are high. Furthermore, there is no fee listed for bitcoin payouts.

I understand the desire to screw players over (although I don't agree with that stance) on payouts. However, affiliates pay attention to this stuff and should be treated properly.

Maybe this is a one-off error by Intertops, but I have my doubts considering they have not replied to either of my two emails.

The price of BTC dropped by about 10% between July 16 and 17, so this could be the reason.

I double-checked it, and the payment was received late in the evening of July 17. The bitcoin price for July 16 should be irrelevant.

Actually, the value of that bitcoin when I received it comes out to about $1,614 so it's even worse than I thought. Nearly a $150 fee.

Intertops: I've sent an email to that address.

bonustreak: the timestamp is there. Anyone can easily see what price bitcoin was selling at during that time. There is no way bitcoin was priced that low for at least 12 hours before that payment was sent.

Some places charge a 5% when buying off the market depending who their processor is.. not sure its the case with intertops though

When I was a player at VS, cashed out AU$3.5K (BTC didn't change in value) yet by the time it hit my wallet (approx 30min) I'd been shafted from $550 or there a bouts. Took it up with my VIP manager at the time, his excuse...BTC is volatile.

Yes I complained, but never got that $550 back, though never got shafted again.

I'd be having a chat with Intertops because unlike VS they don't shaft people ;)

Here's their response:

We can confirm that at the time of processing on July, 17, US$1762.00 was equivalent to 0.17007.

This is the conversion that was sent to our service provider at the time of processing.

It is possible that the rate changed between the time of processing on our end and the time of completion causing you to receive a smaller amount; unfortunately we have no control over this.
Bitcoin prices for July 17:
Min 9,163.13
Max 9,963.13

I could go into further detail by actually using the timestamp, but let's give them the benefit of the doubt and use the top end of bitcoin for the day: $9,963.13

0.17007 * 9963.13 = 1694.43. Not even close to the expected amount: $1762

Again, I'll reiterate that the actual value closer to the timestamp shows I lost even more money than that.

In order to minimize the risk of wild price swings, maybe they can pay in stable coins :)

If it works that way, then people should be getting paid bonus commission when bitcoin swings in their favor. So the question is, is anyone actually getting paid extra 50% of the time? For all I know that's true, and I have nothing to be concerned about.

@Todd - out of interest, are you a player or an affiliate? Only ask cause this seems like a player issue. In which case, you'd be better visiting https://www.casinomeister.com, signing up there, and submitting a mediation request aka PAB (Pitch a Bitch)...

I'm an affiliate, but as you may or may not know, Intertops pays affiliate earnings through player accounts.

I was very slightly underpaid this month, but it makes sense considering bitcoin was dropping. I'm still holding out to see what happens with the payment amount when bitcoin rises.

I just wanted to provide an update because it does seem like Intertops is a good and reliable program, and I didn't want to leave this thread hanging.
