A lot of bonus abusers lately in the UK?

Hey

Have others experienced an increase in bonus abusers in the last 2-3 weeks? We have had a few casino partners over that time that received a ton of FTDs with same deposit amounts just over the minimum deposit amount. This is in the UK.

Hey Joonas, not necessarily bonus abusers, but a lower conversion rate for sure. And thats for the past few months in our case actually...this used to be a very strong geo for us, 50% conversion rate and good value, but not anymore sadly..

Well, a lot of measures have been applied on the operators side, but also on our side.
Mainly in order to be compliant with the UKGC. And the overall sign up process (also the deposit process) has become longer and trickier for players too...I guess all these measures together have lead to this outcome.

I heard some rumors that because they are making it so tricky for the licensed casinos in the UK. they have been an uptick in people looking to play on unlicensed UK casinos. Is this true and if so big problem?

Hasn't this always been a problem with bonuses? the bonus abusers have had a lot more time available to play so I'm not too surprised if that was case.

this has been common for UK players since many years. Also with strict UK online igaming regulations, this market has become a true struggle for casino operators. This is the main reason many have left the UK market.

We've run several targeted campaigns for UK mobile phone players over the last 12 month - and while we've had some success with volume (approx 200 depositors) nearly all of them have been minimum deposit and then done.

Approx 20% of the players deposited a second time - and only maybe 5% were worth 50 GBP+. I'd say that most mobile players are worth about 5-10 GBP each.

They might have fancy phones - but the typical mobile player in the UK doesn't have much money left over to spend.

The UK market has the quantity, but the quality is extremely low I would say. Mostly £10-20 deposits and just awful overall. LOADS of bonus abusers too. Definitely unlicensed casinos are becoming more and more interesting. I'm not even sad to say that anymore because the regulated market has become too much of a headache for players and the whole SoW situation is just ridiculous. There are actually plenty of good unlicensed casinos I would say, you just have to pick the right ones for you AND your players. Needless to say, avoid the scam sites.

We've recently heard the UKGC might apply licensing mandatory for affiliates too...have you guys heard anything about it? The KYC requests are becoming quite a hassle too. But if they do ask for a license, then most likely we'll leave this market completely...

There's only been speculation so far.

Granted not UK traffic, but for what it is worth, I'm seeing this trend across other GEO's.

Players using desktop are drowned out by mobile uses these days. However, I find those on mobile less likely to have the disposable income, my desktop players have. The majority of my mobile users make the bare minimum deposit. They may make a few more, then boot. Longevity of players doesn't seem to be anything like it used to be. I'm sure covid doesn't help either.
