I've been in this industry (on-off) for nearly 7 years now and one of the issues I'm having of late is affiliate managers who have their own portal casinos. I've started a thread about this issue about a year ago at GPWA and said I'll only work with an aff. manager who has his/her own portal if this person has my own site's best interest at heart.
To me this is a conflict of interest. I've been in the diamond and gold mining business for a large part of my life, just to give an example. A company such as De Beers will not employ someone who has his own diamond mining company since it's creates a conflict of interest with De Beers. I feel the same principle should apply to affiliate managers since it not only creates a conflict of interest with the online casino they work for but with the affiliate and players as well.
I'd appreciate your thoughts on this topic.
TIA.
