After spending years working with various poker/casino/sports betting affiliate networks, I decided to make a list of all major pros and cons.

What is an affiliate network? It is a super affiliate that has a great relationship with brands and can offer the same or even better deals that you would get on your own. You also receive additional benefits on top of that, so for some affiliates it can be a very good option to consider.

What are the pros?

• Most of the time, you will get a better deal either straight away and once you prove yourself, they will be happy to increase it even more. I noticed that very often it is way easier to prove yourself to the network than to the brand directly.

• Affiliate managers won't be able to do shady things like decrease your commission to a minimum, mess with your stats or close your account, since you are a part of the network now and they can't risk to mess with them.

• You can ask network's support to help you in various ways (ask for banners, help with retags, ask for information and so on). This is extremely useful since otherwise you would have to do this all by yourself and it is very annoying if you don't have a direct contact with the brand.

• Retags normally don't happen if you don't work with a network (unless it is a tracker issue and the player just signed up, but even then it is not guaranteed). While with networks it is a different thing, a player wants to be tagged to you? Through networks it is possible to request a retag and with quite a few brands it is way more likely to happen. There can be many instances where brands will say no to you, but will approve the retag through the network.

• All stats, deals and links in one place. No need to log on to 20-50 different accounts, sync data somewhere etc. If something happens (like a link update), it is way easier to be notice it and be aware of it.

• Some networks can help you out with advice, check your sources, give you tips etc.

• Most networks have a sub-affiliate program. So if a specific program doesn't have one or if you want to recommend some brand to another affiliate, it is a good alternative. You earn way more since it is many brands and multiple verticals in one place.

• Additional leaderboards, freerolls, giveaways. Throught networks I was able to get access to massive private leaderboards, they can help to set up private freerolls (for free or split the cost with you), ask brands for special promotions etc. Networks can provide you feeds for the leaderboards so you can easily display them on your site.

Cons

• You should only work with big and known networks for safety reasons. If you decide to work with some random one that has no credibility and many years of experience, then you may run into some issues in the long run.

• Some networks might not provide very detailed stats in their backend and you will have to request them (not a big deal since it is information like a referral source or detailed player activity, not revenue numbers).

This pretty much sums it up. I will not list the networks I am working with myself, but if you are curious - hit me up.

Networks are middle men, if you drive enough high quality traffic you are better dealing with the gambling companies directly. I've tested this time and time again and they can't compete with the revenue share and hybrid deals I have.

If you are a super affiliate and drive a lot traffic for a certain brand, then it could be the case. Sometimes it is good to have some separate accounts, but what about the rest? Also, you probably compare "sign up rates" on the networks and your own adjusted rates outside. Networks usually have much lower "set" rates and just by asking you get a substancial increase.

Bands like to change their TOS back and forth, and even a super affiliate who stopped bringing traffic can have issues.

While they never force networks out of a sudden to force their players to bring a certain number of players every month or they will stop paying/decrease commission, this has never happened to me while working with networks and I believe it is a plus.

I'd say networks are good for CPA model, for RS year, 20-50 accounts))

I use a couple of networks like Matching Visions and Revenue Lab, and I've been quite happy with both so far.

Makes it easier to have only one account and one invoice for multiple brands, saves a lot of time for me. The deals are not bad either. Having said that, I would never rely only on affiliate networks, but working with a few to make your life easier is not a bad idea.

New user of the forum and would be really interested in hearing more about the networks you're currently working with.

Currently building on a sports betting platform but had planned on signing up to the sportbook affiliate programmes individually, so your pros of a network are really interesting

I have some accounts as a "sub" for bigger networks such as Matching Visions but kind of not to get some deals but rather to see what they offer and also what casinos/news pop up at their sites.

Pros:
Kind of a easy and quick way to find new casinos and to have some sort of "cards" in my hand if I sign up as an affiliate directly with the casino.

For example: 35% RS at MV = I'll sign up directly at the casino and ask for 45%. Ofcource not always getting what I ask for but every single casino I have found this way has offered me a better deal than the network.

I think like this
"The less anybody knows about me, the better"

If you have good and big numbers, sharing them all at One single place can damage you in the future.

wouldn't touch any network with a bargepole, why would you do all the work for a middleman to cream off the benefits, and they have the players as well. crazy if you ask me
What benefits? I never had any benefits taken by the network. You do not compete with the network, they get their cut as some kind a sub-affiliate. I never had a case where I would be paid less than the program's minimum commission percentage. Even with no traffic, it was always equal or more. Never less.

Depending on what you are looking for, you deversify. Networks may not have that brand available or you may have another reason. So you just mix it up. But to completely ignore all networks without testing them out is a mistake.

As mentioned before. Default network deals and what you ask the network in the beginning are two different things. As you said, you asked the program, but why didn't you ask the network too? How can you compare them if you don't do the same thing for both?

I work with RevenueLab Network within years. They never reduce revenue share.
They have big expertise about many brands with are lot of geo. And is it possible to get affiliate commission from regulated brand like "888" for example via Bitcoin or USDT (TRC-20) ? If you work with revenuelab this is possible.

Most affiliates cannot get a deal with Bet365, but I know a network that can give you one. Let me know if you need details.

Obliviously, you have an angle here.

It would be much much nicer, if you go straight and disclose it, instead of "but I know a network that can give you one. Let me know if you need details." and such.

I guess it has a advantage for small affiliates, I would never let anyone control any part of my comms, I can get good deals on my own actually even small sites can if they know how to negotiate.

I would also stay away from such networks as a big part of the control is lost, and a big part of big-data is given to the network owners.

They partner up with big brands, there is no way they would leak your "precious" data.

I am trying to understand what they could leak/abuse and why. Makes zero sense and has never happened to me with any network.

Big networks are actually more professional than some smaller affiliate programs.
