AGD New Style - Issues Thread

[Guard Dog]

The new template has just been loaded at AGD. There ARE some dead links such as 'Certification Guidelines' at the top and several others.

PLEASE let me know your thoughts and what can be changed on the template.

What users WILL notice is:

• Template is now 1024x768 for those on that resolution and works
• Template is larger for widescreens (much nicer look for widescreens)
• Template is a higher resolution, graphically, for nicer viewing
• AGD Services box on the right shows upcoming AGD features in testing
• Blogs are easier to get to and recent blogs are shown below
• Menuing is much nicer and accurate
• Social Networking platforms and contact are located in header

There is a bit more, but that is mostly the changes that have been made. Again - please let me know of any issues you might have in the forums!

I'm glad to hear it works well on a Netbook! I do not have one to test with, but know a few who have complained that the last style was horrible on one It was also not so good on 1024x768 resolution.

Would love to hear how it works on an iPad or even a Google Pad once those start coming out (Samsung Galaxy Tab, I think, will be the first to hit the market)

'New Posts' -> Big button at top above social networking icons.

'Todays Posts' -> I'll have to put that into the template. I forgot about it, apparently.

Amazing how one gets into habits with message boards, I was completely lost without "today's posts" and "new posts" and didn't know what to do with myself, lol!

Looks great Andy.

I just ran into a bug while reading another thread. It updated with a new post while I was reading it (the "live thread" thing) but what it did was remove all the posts on the page I was reading and then only displayed the new post. I was only half way down the page though so I had to hit refresh to reload the page and find where I was up to again and start from there.

Using FF 3.6.8, Win XP.

1600x900 on a 23" LG HD.

Ahhh, cool.

Amazing how one gets into habits with message boards, I was completely lost without "today's posts" and "new posts" and didn't know what to do with myself, lol!

It took me about 10 minutes to find the new posts button... I was even trying to search for the words on the page somewhere..

Then when I found it I was like "OMG derr Renee"

It's massive.. but I think because of the colour it blends into the template..
Might be worth making it a little brighter or something Andy
