Hello, I have recently launched a affiliate site centered around online casino reviews for the US and EU countries.

However, there is one thing that I concern about the domain name which is betmentor. com

Please tell us if the domain is suitable for the casino review site. As the term "Bet" lends itself to sports betting to a degree. Would the domain cause any misunderstanding?

Please also tell us what to improve and your thoughts about the site. Thanks for your help.

I think your concern is correct. What would you expect to see on a site named betmentor?
For me it would be betting tips of sorts.

However not sure how relevant your question is as either you are the owner of Casino . guru and then you know "pretty" well what you are doing or you just copied their site...

Hi, Thank you for your sharing!

My question simply is " Is the domain " betmentor. com" good for only online casino review?

And regarding Casino.guru. They are one of the big affiliates in the industry. We are still trying to improve and differentiate ourselves from them.

I think you need to decide which direction you wish to go. If it's casinos then I don't think the domain fits.

Yes they are. However you just scrapped their site 1 to 1. And even the content and slogan.
I mean this is not exactly setting yourself apart :):

Any advice for new affiliate?

Sure... Go find something else to do, because you've missed the boat by @ least 10 years.

Esports is the next big thing, far better to invest time into this, than wasting it on this niche.

Old timers (myself included) who have been doing this since day-dot (20 years), are now struggling to obtain a decent number of new depositing players each month. FYI, before this aff niche got saturated, gained 200 - 300 NDP's a month, was the norm, for me and other too. Now, if I get 30 NDP's p/m, it's a good month.

The number of aff programs going bust, are at a record high. Hence, you do the work, get the players, then the program closes, and you paid $0, as well as having all your referred players stolen. What I mean by that is... aff program sells those players to another casino or... they just open a new casino, with a new program. AKA... wash, rinse and repeat. Either way you get shafted.

I've been registered AGD member since 2013, and a member at the GPWA since 2005.

The number of "newbies" I've seen post saying XYZ... 3 - 5 months later 99% have thrown in the towel.

Sure you maybe the 1%. If your still doing this after 12 months then, you've got a chance. But 99% fail because:

They realise it's too damn hard. Too damn competitive.

And regarding Casino.guru. They are one of the big affiliates in the industry. We are still trying to improve and differentiate ourselves from them.

It takes a hell of a lot more skill to succeed, than throwing up a cloned cookie-cutter site (be that wordpress or bespoke coding).

@Jim Henson - I'm sorry if this sounds harsh, but sugar coating sh#t helps no one, especially yourself.

One thing that does confuse me with your post... The domain.

A quick whois reveals:
Updated Date: 2020-04-24
Creation Date: 2013-08-30
Registry Expiry Date: 2025-08-30

Yet you claim to be a "newbie"...

The other weird things...

Your using your full name (if this is your real name) as your AGD membership name.

Your post is directly connected to your domain, including your real name (?)...However, whois info on your domain is hidden. Just sayin BUT that makes no sense at all.

And, while I'm on a roll...

You state "WE" (meaning plural - more than 1 person). BUT in your 1'st post you state "I" (meaning singular - 1 person). Your thread title states "new affiliate". But it seems your anything but new.

A cynical person may wonder what angle your pulling here. What are you not disclosing o_O

What's the story, mate???!!!

Thank you for the advice. I really appreciate it. I am quite interested in the competitive market. I have been as an affiliate of online betting sites for a few years, but only locally. This time with the domain Betmentor.com, I wish to go globally.

That's such an interesting question! As I think now using we must be better than I. <----- Thank you for this.

As I explained we are new in the global market. Therefore there would be a couple of things we are inexperienced, First, start with the domain, we keep wondering " Would it be suitable for online casino review?"

Therefore, we are here to looking for helps from you. Thank you

I don't see an issue with the name. At least you're not exclusive to casinos now.
