Hey everyone!

So, I was just diving into the news and stumbled upon this fascinating analysis by SOFTSWISS. They're this cool company that's pretty much in the know when it comes to gaming trends and what's shaking up the iGaming world. They've got their finger on the pulse of the industry!

Now, here's the juicy part: They've gone ahead and gathered data from Game Aggregator, covering the latter half of 2022 and the first half of 2023. And guess what? They looked into not just Europe but also Asia and Latin America. That's a pretty wide scope, right?

Now, here's the question that really got me thinking: Are slots losing their shine? It's a biggie! With all the changes in the gaming scene, it's intriguing to ponder if this classic casino favourite is maybe taking a bit of a backseat.

I'd love to hear what you guys think about it!

Catch you in the comments!

Nah, they're not. I'd say slots are more popular than ever. The only thing losing popularity are UKGC/DE/NL regulated casinos.

I agree. Especially because this research does not have a wider range as it covers parts of the continents.

Here's the exciting part: They've compiled data from Game Aggregator, covering the latter half of 2022 and the first half of 2023. But what's even more fascinating is that they didn't limit their scope to just Europe – they delved into the gaming landscapes of Asia and Latin America. That's quite a comprehensive approach, don't you think?

Now, here's the million-dollar question that's been on my mind: Are slots losing their luster? It's a big one! Given all the transformations happening in the gaming scene, it's really worth considering if this beloved casino classic is taking a bit of a backseat.

Personally, aside from having to be aware of the latest slot releases for review/promotion purposes, I am personally sick of the same ol' slots coming out week after week with different graphics and a slightly different paytable. I'm bored with the slots that are coming my way.

When I play at online casinos now, I find myself playing roulette, video poker, poker games, even scratch cards.... yeah, I play the latest slots to try them for real money (part of the job, right?) but recently, aside from pretty graphics, I'm not blown away.
