Australia to Ban Credit Card Use in Online Gambling

The Australian federal government will soon ban the use of credit cards for online betting to protect vulnerable consumers from gambling harms, according to recent news. The ban will be enforced by The Australian Communications and Media Authority and will be implemented via amendments to the Interactive Gambling Act.

While there are plenty of folks who can gamble responsibly, unfortunately, there is a small % who can't. Sadly, the minority taking precedence over the majority.

Plenty more alcoholics and prescription drug abusers. Do we block credit cards for that too
