Firstly nobody is losing any players. As Perc mentioned when we send cross marketing emails, we do this tagged to the original affiliate. We do this as an added benefit for our partners to introduce our other brand to your players. This ensures that the player remains tagged to you.
The original issue brought to our attention by inspiration has been sorted. The pop ins that had the links were disabled. The templates however are cued for display after login etc. This is why they were still displayed after being disabled. I have checked this on my own account and they no longer active. The other links that left the software is being attended to as well. If you log in now you will note that the Grand Slam information is within the casino lobby. The same is happening to Club Red gaming as I type this. In the interim if there are any players that sign up on this page we will map the player to the original affiliate.
You will note that the emails mentioned are new retention brands and the campaign is focussed on brand awareness and not acquisition. There are no acquisition offers in the mail. I agree that it can happen that players click links and these mailers will also be tagged going forward if they contain both brands.
We have gone back and checked the players that are tagged and have registered a new accounts from the mailer. There is one player that has been mapped to the original affiliate.
Below is a cross marketing email that we have sent on behalf of one of the affiliates that have posted here. The campaign has yielded 14 new wagering accounts for the affiliate thus far. Your account manager is sending you confirmation of this. We believe that doing this is proactive increases the lifetime commission and gives the affiliate the credit for referring the player.
If any affiliate does not want us to cross market their players please let us know an we will stop sending these mails to your player base. We have pride in our business practices and believe that our affiliates are truly our partners and do business as such. If you have any questions please let us know.
