BetFashionTV - Rogue Casino

Heads up to everyone to avoid working with BetFashionTV who have been exposed by The Pogg as being linked to a 'No Pay' Casino. Furthermore when a thread also popped up on CM, both The Pogg and Casinomeister are now being hit by a Negative SEO Attack.

I have blacklisted them this afternoon and have referenced the articles on CM and The Pogg.

Others may want to do the same as we have enough crap to deal with in this industry, let alone dealing with AHole operators who think nothing about trying to destroy a site's position in the engines.

Anyone who rogues them, let me know the link to your article in this thread and I'll reference it.

I just want to say a quick thanks to Webcaz for drawing attention to this issue. It's really good to see an affiliate that wasn't directly impacted by this issue taking a community focused approach!!

Imo the nature of the links that were built alongside the timing, following very quickly after legal threats were issued to try and force us to remove content, make a very strong case for the FashionTV Gaming Group having been behind initiating this attack. There were other major sites that were attacked in this fashion, all of them hosting critical content about this group. Articles detailing information about these attacks can be found below (excluding OCR which is directly above!!)

Attack confirmation on our end too. Honestly, I don't know if it's related to BetFashionTV behavior.
All dodgy links are targeting "fake casino games" reports, blacklisted casinos for pirated games and so on.

Hundreds of links every day.
Mmmm... I think I should knock some "doors" (with feet)...

Hi dfiocch,

That doesn't fit the profile of the attacks we've seen. Almost every single link we've caught has been pointed at our FTV pages and the vast majority have used anchor text with some variant of the FTV branding. Lots of use of sexual pharmaceutical terms as well.

We've receive a far smaller number of toxic links being pointed at our forum posts about the RealVegas group and Tropica/Refiliates but I believe that to be a separate issue and this has been going on for some time.

It sounds to me like you're being attacked by another group. I could take a guess as to who but I'm not going to publicly without more evidence. I'd suggest talking to Webcaz - I know OCR has been experiencing similar issues.

As I told, it's not directly related but a very similar behavior. Sexual pharmaceutical terms (anchors), exact match keywords too.

When I have a full "vision" of the story, I will knock the "doors" as mentioned.
It's not the first time, it's not the last.
In the past four weeks we got DoS attacks too. Some aff managers alerted us for not seeing traffic vs their brands.

This industry really stinks at times...

I got an update from Aspire Global who BetFashionTV is a white label of:


"We would like to inform you that due to the severity of the recent events that were reported to us, We, Aspire Global have issued a warning to the Bet Fashion TV group.

A notice of 5 days was addressed to Bet Fashion TV to resolve all and any issues and open complaints with the forum sites content companies.

Should Bet Fashion TV not be able to provide this written verification by Thursday, November 30th EOD, we would be forced to take this issue further."

It's this exact reason why affiliates need to place pressure on organisers of these events, and if they refuse to listen, then boycott them in droves. These are supposed to be for affiliates, yet all I see are affiliates being used as a cannon fodder.

No, this industry is outright criminal at times.

Can't stop cloning games, but surely NetEnt etc., can prevent their games being stolen. Years ago PC games would accept cracked keys - that industry collectively stopped it. So why can't NetEnt etc., do the same?

Anything like that I disavow. Not worth the risk and they are worthless at best and damaging at the most. I also use SEMRush plus Link Research Tools.

I beg to differ. Having been on the receiving end of a massive Negative SEO attack earlier this year, I follow what the guys at Link Research Tools suggest. Indeed, AHRefs, SEMRush all point out toxic links. They are worthless, don't bring any traffic and if anything are damaging.

Not monitoring my back link profile at the time of that Negative SEO attack allowed it to take hold. I learnt a very valuable and costly lesson.
