About the Referback and Wagershare merge I've received this email. Should we stay or run from this new affiliate program? I'll keep you posted about my earnings with this new program. I'm very cautious and will not boost exposure of any of their brands. I have a good player base at Jackpot City, so I'll let you know how results are in the new Buffalo program.

Dear Affiliate

You have probably heard the exciting news that Wagershare and Referback are merging to become a brand new Affiliate Program called Buffalo Partners.

What does this mean for you?
If you have only one account, either Wagershare or Referback, we will create one new Buffalo Partners account for you, and you will be able to log into the Buffalo Partners site on 1st August using your existing login and password.

If you have both a Wagershare and Referback account we will need to merge your two accounts so that you have one single Buffalo Partners account.

Please note that once the merge occurs on the 1st of August, the King Neptunes and River Belle brands will not be part of Buffalo Partners. All existing King Neptunes and River Belle players will be carried over to your Buffalo Partners account and you will continue to earn commission for the lifetime of the player. No new players will be accepted after the 31st of August 2014 and we would advise for all links to be removed.

How to Merge?
We have created a merge portal where you need to log into both of your accounts. You can then select which details you would like to keep going forward for your Buffalo Partners Account.

Please note that if your existing Wagershare and Referback accounts have different deal types (ie CPA and Revenue Share) we will not be able to merge your accounts and you will proceed with two separate Buffalo Partners Accounts.

You will need to select your Username, specify a new password (for security reasons we cannot display your existing passwords for you to choose from), your preferred address, contact details and preferred deal.

If you find that the contact details which we have on file for you are incorrect, you will be able to update them once you've logged into your new Buffalo Partners account.

When to Merge?
You will need to merge your accounts once Buffalo Partners is live from the 1st August 2014. Log into the merge portal here.

Can I continue to access the Wagershare and Referback sites?
You will be able to log into the Wagershare and Referback sites until the 31st July 2014. Once Buffalo Partners goes live on the 1st August 2014 you will be redirected to the Buffalo Partners site.

What about my Wagershare and Referback reports / historical Information?
We will be transferring your data and it will be available as an archived data report on Buffalo Partners.

However please feel free to download and save any reports from Wagershare or Referback before the 1st August 2014.

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact your affiliate manager or you can contact us via the online form available here. Best regards,
The Buffalo Partners Team

Thanks I have had loads of signups but never any converting with Referback so even more sceptical to even bother with them now. Buffalo sounds like a program which will go Rogue :D :)

I agree with a somewhat cheap feel of the brand name Buffalo. Buffalo would be a good name for a steak restaurant not for a highly trustworthy casino affiliate program. They could have named it Cowboy too. It could be worse ;)

I do not think it will be that beneficial to us ; no mention of changing links, the one account policy that RB has (had?) what happens to belle rock entertainment, T&C, quotas, rev. share. etc etc

Another example of poor communication and besides that my guts feeling tells me to be very suspicious as the new program name does not sound like an industry leading professional who is taking care of us affiliates for years to come. I hope I am wrong.

We all knew this was on the horrizon but didn't know when it would rise up.

I've been making regular commission with Referback over the years but that income has taken a dive in the last few months. And now with Wagershare joining forces; they have shafted affiliates big time, I now have no alternative but to decided to keep promoting these (RB) casinos or dropped them.

I agree Buffalo Partners, is truly a bizarre name.

They could have named it Cowboy too.

Maybe Outlaw would have been more appropriate - given Wagershare is in the roguehouse. :D

It all depends on who is in charge. I know they are calling it a merger but reality is that one or the other will most likely be taking over the other. Fingers crossed its Referback not Wagershare.

Please note that once the merge occurs on the 1st of August, the King Neptunes and River Belle brands will not be part of Buffalo Partners. This part is odd. It sounds to me like those casinos will remain open and operating, but not under the new affiliate program.

What about all the commission payments that WagerShare have been holding onto for so many years because of their retroactively added inactivity rule? Are they going to be paying those commissions to the affiliates??? I'm owed thousands of dollars by WagerShare and am not likely to just forget about them anytime soon.

They could have named it Cowboy too.

It would be ethically correct to clear (pay) all debts before Wagershare migrates to this new venture.

Sadly however, I don't see that happening. Reminds me of Grand Prive all over again :(

I have been locked out of my Wagershare account for over a year when I tried to update payment details. I am not the only one either, we'll see what they do.

just asking, are you aware you have to include WGS in front of your id # now to log in?

We will likely end up pulling their casinos from our sites. It's difficult to see why
Referback would want to merge with a program that has a really bad reputation.

We had an agreement with Wagershare a few years back, everything was running
smoothly until it came time for them to pay, then we couldn't get any response
from our affiliate manager. After about a week, we finally made contact with
someone else that informed us that our affiliate manager had been fired for
making deals that weren't authorized, and we should just forget about it.

It would be nice if Referback could clarify what exactly is taking place here. Changing
their name from Referback (for over 12 years now) to Buffalo Partners makes me
wonder why they changed that name, and if our earnings will turn into buffalo chips.

and as said, i am not the only one. I am in touch with a few that have the same problem.

Hope it works out for the the best but won't waste much time on it.

We are making decent money every month with Referback.
Well, so far any merge or change of aff program was always a loss for us. Will see how this turns out.

Call me what you like, but I think those of us who enjoyed years of earning good money, with little to no drama from trusted programs, are now seeing what happens when times are lean.

More and more programs who've been held in high esteme, for years, are going bad. This seems more evident, for those casinos, who built their reputation on the MGS download suite. There is a LOT of competition out there now.

For instance Guts and BetAt both powered by Quickfire, pay winnings within 2 hours (24/7). Whereas MGS downloaded casinos, have stopped weekend payments. RB and WS casinos have also extended pending withdrawal periods to a whopping 72 hours. That's even before the process to pay winning even commences. It's either someone being super greedy or a cash-flow issue, which has brought these changes.

Whatever the reason, the longer winners have to wait. The more hoops they are forced to jump through. The less likely they will return.

Besides, if RB and WS casinos were holding their own, there would be no reason for this merger. It's not rocket science, it is clearly driven by cost cutting, as we have seen in the max exidus of other long-time-mgs brands, migrating to Digimedia Ltd.

normally I do not quote a message from the affiliate manager but he said feel free to add so here we go :

Quote - To enlighten you on terms also, there will be no more blocked payments if affiliates do not send new players. Previous affiliates who have blocked payments will also be paid out in the first payment month of Buffalo Partners. /Quote

Quote - Riverbelle, King Neptunes and Mummys Gold. These casinos are not being taken into the new program. This does not mean you will not earn from any players you have previously sent to these brands, you will. Simply after the 31st August we will not accept new registrations to the casinos. You will then earn a lifetime rev share % from these players. /Quote

Not all bad news !
