They sent out an announcement about this change, and I believe it was mentioned
in two separate mailings from Star Partner. If players visit any of the properties from
within the UK, they will be redirected to Casino UK. Players in all other countries
will be sent directly to the property that you are promoting. It was noted that this change had
been made due to a change in UK regulations. I no longer have the e-mails that they sent out
but I remember reading them. Also, I believe they phased out a couple of the properties as well.

Maybe those who didn't receive this notification, need to check your email settings or spam folders ;)

They definitely did tell us...

I am coming to you with news of 3 big changes at Vegas Partner Lounge from July 10, 2014;

·Cinema & Sun Vegas Casino

These 2 brands will merge with our bigger ones to channel traffic in our strongest territories and improve results.

Our bigger brands are Crazy Vegas Casino, Golden Riviera Casino (for all markets), Maple Casino (Canadian market), Casino Mate (Australian market) ad Casino UK (UK market).

All existing players will be redirected and the banner tags will be carried over, so nothing will be lost.

The reason for this merge is to give affiliate promoting the 2 brands much better chance to convert their traffic in a targeted way and with various offers and platforms (Desktop, Mobile, Flash).

Please update your site and do not hesitate to contact me for any creative request or further information.

·Casino UK

Due to recent UK legislation change, all UK players existing in all our brands will be automatically moved to Casino UK and any others non-UK players will be redirected to our bigger brands.

Please update all your pages with UK look and feel.

This was covered in this article and also discussion here. Long story short, alot of large Microgaming casinos are leaving the UK market. Fortune affiliates are migrating all UK players to Betway and other groups are yet to apply. I imagine some of the bigger groups will apply for 1 license and move all their UK players across all platforms to the new casino like StarPartner have done.

OK - yes they did - I just searched & found the e-mail.

BUT... the e-mail was titled "Exciting Changes" so I skipped over it, as I do with many of the dozens of e-mails I get every day.
It really should have been titled something like "Warning - 2 brands closing", "Please update your site", "Important - brands merger" or something like that.
Do these programs think they are the ONLY people we are promoting?

Trying to gloss up these changes by calling them "Exciting" when they are really a pain in the arse for everyone, is not helpful.

Most casinos and their aff programs, seem challenged when it comes to avoiding hyperbole.
Ironically and I dare say, if they used factual references for email titles, promotions et al, they'd most likely get much HIGHER conversions.

More so in relation to affiliates, these emails wouldn't be passed over as promotional hogwash.

I agree 100% on this with you KK, digging through the mails from StarPartner my title on email was even better than "Exciting Changes" it was "Players" It made mention of Cinema Casino and Sun Vegas merges (under a whole bunch of nothing i needed to know about some players) but nothing was advised of the Casino Mate changes for UK players anyway. How hard could this be, pathetic account management...who ever got told correctly by your AM lucky you.

It's like most things, the left hand is not communicating with the right hand. This is all Ad-copy driven, which, makes up 99% of these mailers, apart from those personally received from your AM.

The term Banner Blindness come to mind here ;)

Unfortunately this email that told me really nothing about the changes was from my AM & was not a mailer - here lies the problem i suppose. Thanks for the banner blindness tip too!
