Just noticed allot of Spammers here trying to sell or trade you know what.
They just try and come in and take advantage of this friendly place.

Leeches! All of them - just look today!! More sales!!

Spammers - this is a community - please either contribute or get out.

Caution::!!! - Jennylba123 ha been banned over at PAL for spamming the crap out of it.... she has no respect. Also PLEASE DO NOT GIVE HER YOUR EMAIL!!

DO NOT GIVE JENNYLBA123 YOUR EMAIL!! - For your own security.

I did give it to her over at CAP and I am still to this day slammed by sellers for you know what everyday.....

I think she sells mailing addresses or at least something like that!!

Save yourself the headache i still face today!!

I think all these sellers who come here just to post those things should be banned and erased!! And all siggys removed!!

Clean them out!! LOL - no positive energy coming from them! They just make the place look cheap!!! and invite all kinds of shaddy folk!!

EDIT: Anyway to allow only members here with post counts of at least 20 be able to post sales? - and vetted so they dont post hello 20 times.. lol
We only want solid contributing members right?

I would certainly help anyway i can here!! I could be like PokerKeep over at GPWA - the "you know what" police!

Perhaps it's time to set a post limit on the sales forum.

I seem to be getting spammed left right and centre recently, whether it's by email, PMs on forums and now on Skype too.

It's getting stupid now. It would be something if the sites being offered were of a semi-decent quality but I'm just amazed at the amount of crap that these sellers think I want to buy links on.

I'll see if this is possible. I remove signatures for posters with less than 10 posts, but it takes some time for me to do this and I don't always catch them.

I'm working on an automatic script for this, but it's not complete :(

Unfortunately I don't think the internet will EVER see the death of spammers.

I have an e-mail address which I have ONLY ever given to affiliate programs I've signed-up with; for the first 18-24 months it was virtually spam-free - now 50% of my e-mails are spam. :(

What makes it even more bloody annoying is that most of the e-mails look like they are from reputable e-marketing companies and they do have "unsubscribe" links at the bottom... but they don't work!
I've unsubsrcibed from loads (several times), but still the same spam-mails keep coming... :emoticon-0183-swear

LOL Steve.... my rep is preceding me. I actually do report spammers here when I see them and will continue to do so. BUT - please take up the cause... I do not spend nearly as much time here as GPWA. All forums (except Ray's - lol) get hammered by these creeps and we all need to do our part to rid the boards of them!

I totally agree - I helped back in the day when i felt welcome there at GPWA.
We had some good times chasing them didn't we. But all good things come to and end... LOL.

I personally think its great to have mods and scripts for this - but also I think a human element is good as well.

Based on this site most of it comes from the advertise section. I think if 1 or 2 volunteers here - members that is - can spend time looking at this stuff and removing it based on a certain criteria it would go along way - and maybe not need to depend on programs to do it - and slip through.

I would certain volunteer my time if someone else did :) For that section anyways.. and make sure its clean from link spam and selling and doing 4 way links exchanges... lol.

We all come here daily - i think it would be easy to have a couple people here who can remove sigs and links based on a criteria.

Rules set by Andy with the help of members here. Just a thought!

Steve
