Cherry Casino Stopping UK Affiliate Deals!!

I have just had the following email from Cherry Casino ......


Dear affiliate,


I’m afraid to say as of tomorrow we will be closing the UK market for affiliates on CherryCasino.


All existing deals for players already sent will be honoured but I’m afraid as of Friday (26/01/2018) any player who signs up from this date onwards will not contribute to any commission you earn. Please can you remove CherryCasino UK offers from your sites with immediate effect.


However please do feel free to contact me with regards to discussing promoting ComeOn, Mobilebet and GetLucky in the UK market.


If you have any questions regarding these changes or promoting any of the brands mentioned above please do not hesitate to ask.

I had just signed up to their affiliate program, luckily I did not do to much work. Do you think that they know something about the UK gambling commission changing things up, or do you think they are just scaling down Cherry and focusing on their other sites?

It's nothing related to regulatory changes. They could've confirmed from their affiliates that the activities used to promote their casino are okay. It's just an organisational decision not to want any extra players via affiliate marketing. I'm sure they'll come around when they see the impact this has on their business. Revenue share, after all, is not a cost as the casino most likely would have never gotten the players without the affiliate.

That is good to know. I was thinking maybe some big changes are on the horizon in the UK. I am sure you are right, it may take them a while to build back up again however. They tried to get me to promote their other brands and stop Cherry. Within six months they will be accepting players again. How long have you been in Malta for? I have been here for 5 months and can not wait for the summer to come back haha

Your comment raises another issue with their decision: the concern affiliates have in regards to promoting their other brands. Who's to say that they wouldn't shut down those programs as well at some point? And then all the effort affiliates put into building those relationships would go to waste.

That is exactly why I will not be working with Cherry Affiliates. We could spend time and money creating content and links etc, and then wooosh, we have decided that we are not going to be accepting players anymore .... It is just not worth the risk.


Yes BetReels, It would of been nice for an explanation. I do know that Sky have also pulled out of the UK recently, that is what is making me worry about upcoming changes to the UK market.

I'm afraid CherryCasino is pulling out of the UK affiliate market due to a company decision to focus on the other owned brands already established within the market.

The CherryCasino UK content was only accessible to a very limited amount of affiliates (40 odd) and due to this only those affiliates with access were informed of this decision via email.

We're very happy to talk to all affiliates promoting CherryCasino in the UK to discuss deals for ComeOn, Mobilebet and GetLucky in the UK market.
