This year EGR Operator Awards is scheduled for October, 25th at the Grosvenor House in London.
There are many categories: from Affiliate of the year till Sports betting operator.

What are your impressions? Who is going to the award ceremony this year?

How on earth BGO is shortlisted. And who are nowagering - never saw their site till now.

Looking at the list of nominated slots is enough to tell this award is a complete joke and out of touch with reality.

i noticed some of the, lets say "less reputable brands" on there. Also, Never heard of some of the shortlisted affiliates either but that could be just me.

Not sure your shortlisting criterias is 100% spot on, to say the least... You are missing some of the big affiliates names and as I said some operators that many affiliates consider as rogue/predatory etc definitely should not have made this list.

I think for a significant part it's about who's paying. It are usually the brands that are also investing quite a lot in exposure at events.

Just have a look for example at the affiliate programs. Kindred? That same Kindred that forced a retroactive quota into their terms? Also I have no clue why 7 Stars Partners and Excel Affiliates are nominated. Or EGO? That closed AU and transfered player bases with their own affiliate tag to some offshore casino?

Also, Mansion, 888 as best casino operator is bs. Same thing for Go Wild, WH at customer service, etc., etc etc.

Social responsibility is an ethical framework and suggests that an entity, be it an organization or individual, has an obligation to act for the benefit of society at large. Social responsibility is a duty every individual has to perform so as to maintain a balance between the economy and the ecosystems.

Kindred, to name but one, clearly has no clue about "Social responsibility". If they did (include some others on that list), they wouldn't have sh#ft their affiliates. This list is of awardees... is heavily peppered with rogues, crooks and thieves. Ethics certainly aren't their forte` that's for sure. Which makes the majority of these awards a farce!

This is nothing new when it comes to the awards in this industry. Awards are just a marketing tool
to add hype to the event. They don't really serve as a true example of the top sites in the industry
or how the industry is progressing in a positive direction. Anybody can give out an award for anything.

Why do you think that? I've checked and found that a few of reputable candidates are represented almost in each category. One or two make sense.
