Hello
as an affiliate manager I would like to focus more on Flash banners instead of GIF, however I have some concerns regarding their popularity. In most cases they are heavier, they get blocked easier when an AdBlock plugin is installed, and they require updated Flash players to be installed in the visitor's pc.

They can be nicer though :)

So I would like to ask affiliates if they prefer to place Flash or Gif banners in their sites.

Regards
Stelios

I prefer gif banner,
they load better, and I can add special link there easy.

It happened already to me that I had a flash banner on my index,
it did not load and so did also my page not load full.

If I use flash banners than mostly only on end of a page.

Either or would be fine. Flash has advantages, quality, more functions plus believe or not Google can read them. Flash IMO is a far superior advertising tool compared to gifs.

I looked at my WJ account today what flash banners you offer
and I am happy!
I found a super good looking 120x60 flash banner.
And the code is good, I can edit the background color of the banner,
it always bugs me if you see only the white before a flash banner loads
its not nice special on darker websites like mine,

the banner is on my forum top now, it loads fast and looks really good

thank you

I far prefer GIF's.
(Mainly due to the editing software I use - some Flash banners are invisible!)
Some Java-Script banners don't work at all, so sometimes I have to make up GIF banners myself - I did 2 this-morning!

But it doesn't really matter what banners I use for Wager Junction - I've been promoting your casinos for 3 years and not had one single sign-up!

Not just because of mobile but more desktop browsers are dropping flash, it's insecure and a resource hog.. HTML5 is the way forwards.. btw.. I suppose in 2009 it was flash or 16 colour gif
