I understand why Rival casinos are unable to obtain a licence from the Gambling Commission, but I know some still accept UK players.

My question is, are players from the UK taking any risks playing at these casinos?

Let me clarify. I understand the typical risk of playing at any casino. What I mean is, are players breaking any UK law?

No, the PLAYERS aren't breaking the law - only the casinos are.
The situation here in the UK now is basically the same as it's been in the USA since 2006. I don't recall hearing of ANY players being charged for playing online.

You say "some Rival casinos accept UK players" - but I thought they all did (except maybe Slots Capital & Desert Nights).
Which ones do you think don't take UK players?

Players should be fine, but the casinos could get in trouble (as KK said).

It's now also an offence for affiliates to advertise non-UK licensed brands to UK players. Probably not a concern if you're not based here, but if you live in the UK I would stick to the licensed ones for UK traffic.

What about if you host in the UK but are not living there. Do you think this could pose a threat? As in your hosting provider getting hassled by the UK Gaming Authority...

KK,

Sorry, I wasn't clear with my post. I was talking about the multi-software casinos like Slots Million that have some Rival slots etc. You are correct I suppose, most true Rival casinos accept UK.

Possibly. So far I've not heard of anything happening but that doesn't mean it wont in the future and it's still very early days for the new rules...

I guess the worst case scenario here though is that the host shuts your site down.
