So it looks like all operators using NetRefer are forcing us to:

1. Change our passwords.
2. Use the new CRAP version of their back-end.
3. Accept predatory terms like this...
1.3. We may modify any of the terms of this Agreement at any time, at Our sole discretion, by sending an email to the email address You provided us; such amendment will enter into force within five days from sending the email, or at a later date (if so specified in the email). If any modification is unacceptable to You, Your only recourse is to terminate this Agreement. Your continued participation in the Affiliate Program following such modification will be deemed binding acceptance of the modification.

In other words, “we can do whatever the hell we want with this agreement (even stop paying you), and if you don’t like it – tough shit!”

So the old spiel about we want you to partner with you is a load of bollox. Partners do not shaft you at every opportunity. Whether it is UK regulations and now GDPR. Any old excuse to nick your earnings.

I bet that 99,9% of all contracts has such a clausule where they can drop you when they feel like.

As always, brands that have the mouth full of compliance are the weakest example themselves..

For example Leo Vegas. Their own affiliate sites aren't even compliant and today I got some spam mail from an Aspire Global brand, having my emailaddress from the Leo Vegas affiliate database.

@Biti - lots of programs are in breach of their own contractual T&C's. However, that's never an issue. T&C breach(s) only seem to become an issue, when/if an affiliate does exactly the same thing.

Term 1.3 Affiliate Edge had / has something similar, but due to the Arbitration Clause getting my claim stayed, the court did not get to rule on whether this type of clause is valid.

What I will say from my own personal experience is that the need for a type of Union as proposed by @ThePOGG is something we need. No disrespect to the owners of AGD, but the big boys like them are able to cut their own bespoke deals.

Yep and when asking about it, they usually dodge the point. When it's about getting exposure, it's all polite, friendly and fine, but when they want to get rid of the contract... Then I've delivered already and have nothing to pressure anymore. As I have not too much hope of winning a court case with contracts that are made by the legal team of the company you're fighting against.

We surely need better and more fair contracts. Contracts that are perhaps based also a bit more on the long run and I do accept that having a bit more security will cost me on the short run.

I see more and more affiliates using short term tactics, one of the reasons is the behaviour of some programs.
