Foreign Online Payment Providers to be Blocked in Finland

The new legislation to implement blocking foreign payment providers from being able to offer services to local iGaming consumers is a way of preventing Finnish players from accessing non-domestic iGaming websites is set to come into force from the first day of 2023. The European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) described this decision as a missed opportunity for overdue gambling reform.
