Everywhere the news about regulations, the next country introduces different regulations. In my country where there used to be a lot of offshore brands, currently after 2017 the market has completely monopolized and a total of about 20 entities have a licence for betting. All of them have RS/CPA affiliate programs etc. The tax for players and bookmakers is huge, 12% turnover and other taxes. However, I read everywhere that the value of a player on such markets is very low.

How do you see the offshore industry in 5 years time? Will the bookmakers/bitcoin casinos remain alone? Will they also not survive the regulations?
What are your general thoughts? Have you already changed your promotion on your websites to regulated brands?

I could see Blockchain based casinos having a strong future.

Casinos like WINk . org are 100% blockchain based, and have many of the same games and even software providers. As of now they accept crypto and even some stable coins. Some users may require a proxy or vpn to access some of the games. IMO the biggest advantage is payouts are instant.

You are right about the regulations, most of the countries will be affected by these in the near time. Personally I am starting to be a bit sceptic last days, especially when I talked to some aff managers at LAC. But still there is a chance to promote licensed brands on regulated market. But it depends on the current law, because many times it ends like a law created for local companies :(

The regulations don't just restrict casinos but also players, some players still want to bet more than the govement tells them they can and they will find another way they always do, unlicensed gambling is age old

Yes, you are totally right. But when affs will keep promoting unlicensed brands, they risk problems like persecuations from the government and shutting down the website. Also it is not fair for the brands which are following the government needs, pay the taxes etc.. The best way how to solve the problems is the reasonable regulation with just few addons, like age verify, and let all other things on player himself. He can set his own limits.

With persecution, if you do not advertise banned brands in your own country, there is rather no greater risk, but I may be wrong, besides English is a global language, the English language side does not necessarily have to be directed to the USA, UK etc.

Betonline, 5dimes, Bovada, etc. bookmakers will probably lose in Google rankings as unlicensed operators in the USA. Due to the fact that the offshore market operates around the world, however, bookmakers are usually mainly focused on the USA, after closing the market, the offshore department will shrink, however, there will always be a player who is looking for higher odds and a better offer, and this will always have offshore bookmakers. I think that bookmakers should introduce multilingual websites. Some will probably disappear from the market, large brands may be able to manage and will continue to be available globally, however, it seems that over time the only payment option will be cryptocurrencies. On the one hand, it seems that all this will be very difficult, but on the other hand there has always been a gray gambling zone, whether in ancient Rome or now.

With or without regulation there is always going to be a black market in some way, shape and form. It's just a matter of how heavy regulations are. Granted, over regulation will drive more players to off shore casinos and black market options.

The UK has gone totally over board with its regulations so imo they might as well just ban gambling altogether. What's going to happen eventually, however, is that they're going to realize that they were wrong and that it did more harm than good. Plus, when the money stream is gone, they're going to miss it. It very likely makes up a large portion of the economy.
