good money on average sites?

How do you plan to break-through the competition? Unless you are ranking superb or have some huge e-mail list with targeted visitors, I don't see how you can pull that.

Many of your competitors work a lot on day to day bases. Wouldn't make much sense if they got good money out of 60h hours put in, and you got the same results with just 1h.

May I ask, what the point of getting into this field if you are not even willing to put hours of work?

I started my sites just as a spare time hobby - but I agree it took a LOT of hard work to start making "good money".

However, it does amaze me that some of the top 10 sites which come up on Google with casino-related key-words have only 1 or 2 pages featuring just 5 - 10 casinos. I guess these guys are "raking it in" with very little work at all.
Boy am I jealous!

Could be, but just on the outside. We don't know how much work they have put in to build a big backlink profile in order to rank that well, or at least I think so.

The point is I got informed about a site that converts extreamly well for a betting company and the site has not even been touched for a couple of years for sure and no changes has been made whatsoever during that time.

Was curious to find out if someone got the same experience

Take xxxhttp://www.onlinecasinos.net/ for instance. Way ugly site but been around since 2001. Ranks in Google.com top 3 spot for "online casinos" and probably has held that position for years.

You'll find these sites have amased high quality back links. (it's not the number that's important it's the quality and relivance). You'll also find the back links are from aged domains too. I checked out a couple and some sites date back to 98`.

The copyright was last update in 2006. Whilst there's been a few changes to the casino lobby pics, and some minimal text changes not much else has been alterted, dare say for many, many years.

From just looking at sites like this, you can shake your head wonder what tha, ??? But I'm sure if you spend some time analyising these type of sites you see why they hold top serps for Über highly competitive phrases.

It's when you get two page wonders on a fresh domain ranking insanely well that it's obvious the owner is possibly using a black-hat strategy.

What might look like mac and cheese may stop converting in a heartbeat when you make the 'change' of buying it.
