It appears that Grand Prive Affiliates are soon disappearing from the market and continuing their marketing only from the Villa Fortuna Affiliates Brand.

Irwin-Email said:
Let us lead with the chin and get the bad news out of the way. As mentioned in our previous correspondence, GrandPrivé Affiliates will be closing our operation as of 1 December 2008.
Rest assured that all payments due for November will be made as per usual, but that will be the very last payment made by GrandPrivé Affiliates.
Recent developments in the operations of our software provider, Microgaming, as well as general trading conditions in the US has led us to conclude that GrandPrivé Affiliates is no longer a viable business division for the GrandPrive.com group of casinos.
That is the bad news. The good news is that the European-based, Villa Fortuna Affiliates, is up, running and ready to forge a new business relationship with you. Villa Fortuna Affiliates is open to all non-US business (Canadian and European especially) and offers the latest Affiliate Program platform from Microgaming.
Villa Fortuna Casino is available in English, German, Italian and French, with flash casinos currently available in all languages excluding Italian. Our Italian flash and Spanish flash casino software will be added shortly. Massive capital investment is going into building this new casino up to where she rightfully belongs – at the very top of the gaming food chain. Have a look at this glittering Malta-licensed casino by following the provided link: VILLA FORTUNA CASINO - Be Entertained!
I thank you for your support at GrandPrivé Affiliates through the years.
I hope to continue doing business with you on the Villa Fortuna Affiliates platform. I think we’ve only just begun to scratch the surface of this exciting new venture and look forward to bringing you the very best service, marketing material and benefits – with the help of our exciting new European partners, of course.
Thank you for your time and effort, I strongly urge you to signup at Villa Fortuna Affiliates – the future lies there!
Please feel free to email me with any queries about what that future holds.
Regards,
Irwin

I read about that in GPWA yesterday. One thing that really stuck out is the fact that they are closing that program down and starting a new one. The new one will not allow US affiliates to sign up, effectively losing their non-us traffic. That's pretty underhanded because they can maintain their non USA customers and not pay any affiliate commissions.

Exactly... they had (to me) seemed to be going downhill anyway, so it doesn't surprise me at all. I was just caught off-guard by the abrupt way they did this.

I do wonder if the casinos will continue to allow players and how those commissions will be taken care of? The email basically stated commissions until November, so what happens after that? Free money for the GP guys?

I received the mail as well. I won't be joining the fortuna at this time. There is just to much going on.

I am curious as to what will become of the Grand Prive brands. Will they continue to operate individually sans an affliate program? Will they be bought? Rewards comes to mind. ;)

Just speculation. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

If they also close their current group of casinos, It will be interesting to watch how they transfer "our" players to Villa Fortuna and stole or previous hard work. :(
I will keep my eye on what are going to happen with my old "player" account...

I heard on another forum that Grand Prive may keep their casinos open and it is a bit 'up in the air' if they will pay affiliates. Their recent email suggests that November was the last payment date.

If anyone has any details, please let everyone here know about it!

Well that's just ridiculous! And completely predatory. I think that a class action lawsuit against this groupo should happen. Now - I don't make anything off that group because I never trusted them, but those who have and have a good base of players should not be hung out to dry.

Those folks should band together and get a lawyer. That's my 2 cents, for all it's worth.

I hope they could have a good time now :emoticon-0173-middl

Thanks for blacklisting them. I wish somebody had a good idea how we can put more pressure on MGS as well.

Nice campaign to blacklist Grand Prive, the dastardly program and it's stable of casinos on google: grand prive - Google Search

The only site that isn't a link to a blacklist article is grand prive's site itself. ;D

Now, to the reason I am posting about this: I have written an article here: Casino Affiliate Programs Blacklisted , and need a list of url's for other articles to add it to my article. ... I would like links to my article, as well.

Where can I find this? I'm assuming it would be at CAP, but I'm not able to post there.

Will they be bought? Rewards comes to mind. ;)

Murder Suicide if they don't pay out existing player and affiliate earnings.

But then, buy a casino and its list of players, cross sell it to other casinos - I could see how that would return on investment. Had to be said?
