Funny how some programs perform OK and others are basically just a waste of space - even when given the exact same exposure on your sites.

These are the "Waste of Space" ones for me so far this year, i.e. those with totally PATHETIC conversions & earnings...
BetAt & Slotty Vegas
Luck, Next & Wild Slots
Thrills, Super Lenny & Kaboo
Cherry, Euro-Lotto & Euroslots
Slots Magic (Diabolical!)
BGO
Leo Vegas
Casino Room

How are YOU doing with these?
Any of them any good for you?
Who are your "waste of space" operators?

Cheers,
KK

Mr Win are good. Cherry and bgo are sort of ok for me. LeoVegas, Mr Green, Thrills, Videoslots and CasinoCruise are nightmares.

And Euro Lotto is special. I have a lot of relevant traffic from Google, but no sign ups.

I meant Thrillsaffiliates. Also getting the same bad results for Mr Green, don't know exactly why.

I'm glad I read this thread.

- Betat / Slotty Vegas - I promoted them in top spots for months and didn't make a cent, so I removed them.
- Luck, Next & Wild Slots haven't worked out for me, even after months of good exposure. I will most likely significantly reduce their exposure or remove their listings.
- Cherry - Didn't work out for me, so I removed their listings
- Mr Green - Didn't work out for me, so I removed their listings
- Video Slots - Newly listed.
- Most of the other properties mentioned on this thread... I will not be signing up to promote after reading this.

It depends also on your traffic or market. I am doing fine with Mr. Green for example. It's actually one of my better programs. Not in terms of conversion, but in terms of player value !

London is a LONG way off :(
Aren't you coming over to Amsterdam next month?

Looks from most replies that it's NOT just me with most of these operators.
I'm looking to reduce the number I work with, and this thread has helped me decide who to start booting out - so thanks to all for the feedback! ;)

It's not bad stuff for players, Slotty Vegas, but somehow it just don't work for me. I'm hearing of more people it doesn't convert at all. What is also not working very well, is Yako Casino.

Hey there, I don’t want to derail this thread as it’s primarily for the affiliates opinion, but I couldn’t sit here as a program represented and not chip in here.

I think calling programs a ‘waste of space’ is a little harsh, I’m not saying some don’t deserve it but not all of them. I’m going to take Cherry as an example here. We’re a Scandinavian company that targets Sweden, Norway, Finland and Germany. To advertise these casinos on primarily UK, US or English language focused sites – of course they won’t work out as well for you as we do not currently accept traffic from these regions. That’s just how it is. Would you find it fair for any programe to attack affiliates because they do not send scandinavian traffic? No it wouldn’t because our objectives aren’t aligned. It’s like judging a fish on its ability to climb a tree.

I’m all for everyone having their own opinion, and I’m not claiming we convert amazingly for everyone. We work amazingly for some affiliates, and not for others, again that’s just how it is. If we weren’t doing something right, we wouldn’t still be in business. Not every program will convert for everyone, especially if the traffic being sent cannot be accepted by the brands its being sent to.

If anyone wants to talk about their CherryAffiliates account, feel free to get in touch.

I got no experience with Cherry Affiliates, so it's a reply in general, but some brands can be called a waste of space. Even if they perform well in other markets. I hate it sometimes when affiliates managers are desperately pushing a brand that won't work.

Agreed. Like I said ' I’m not saying some don’t deserve it but not all of them'.

An affiliate manager should know their brands and what markets/traffic works for them and invest their time on working on that.

ComeOn is a UK / Candian based brand that is now under Cherry correct?
Elaine, I appreciate your input of course and I think someone already has mentioned here in this very thread that a program being good or bad for certain affiliates
depends on their targeting space.

This thread is not here to bash any individual or business, it is to discuss what is working for fellow affiliates.
Since this is an affiliate forum we are allowed to discuss with our peers what works for them and what does not.

I did very well with ComeOn before the purchase, I hope that continues under the new home of Cherry, but I am not hopeful with the results I get from Cherry, which are none :)
Maybe we can have a chat in Malta in Nov .

Cheers

Thanks for the feedback and I appreciate that's it's for affiliates to discuss but since we were mentioned and I'm the rep on the forum my aim is to help out when affiliates aren’t happy with our program. I get that some brands are just terrible, but my point was that 'Cherry' will be terrible for affiliates if we don't accept UK/US and you have a UK/US facing site/traffic. But all feedback is welcomed and I’ll do whatever I can to rectify any issues anyone has.

ComeOn is a UK brand - Yes, which is owned by Cherry (Now called ComeOn), however the affiliate programs are still separate are run independently until we merge (later this year )

I hope that ComeOn! continues to work well for you, nothing has changed from the sites/promotion/software etc since purchase and there are no plans to change that. I would also like to mention that the teams are merging into one big happy family and the same team will continue to work with ComeOn! in terms of acquisition, conversion and retention.

I know you won’t be in Amsterdam but I’d love to discuss what we can do to strengthen our partnership and get you back on track with ComeOn and our other UK/English facing brands, I believe that our Head of Affiliates, Katy is your account manager and she’ll be in touch shortly (if you’re interested of course ).

Thanks,
