How many words on your website?

I just came across a page on ahrefs showing how many words each page on Slots Guide has. Not entirely sure the numbers are completely accurate but it gives a reasonable idea. Over half a million qhich does seem like an awful lot for just 12 months work. No wonder I have RSI

Anyway, how many words are on your sites? I can imagine some of the big sites must be in the hundreds of millions?

IMO this extension is not the best for SEO.

As far as SEO, his site is not doing bad so I wouldn't fix whats not broken.. I see it come up in the serps often. Plus if you are paranoid about the US gov't, a .eu makes your domain untouchable

I dont have access to that tool.. But I can take a guess.. While I try to make my articles between 400-600 words on average, we can call it 500 words per article. I have 1182 pages and 327 posts on thecasinochat.com (one of my larger sites) Thats: 1509x500 = 754,500 words..

Whats interesting is this... A decent priced content writer (imo) is $.03 per word on average.. That would be $22,635 in content on just this one site

I have no idea how many words on my website - but I know it's a fricking lot!

My home page has 6,500+ words, but that's quite small compared to some of the other 50+ pages.

Like Ryan already said, Slots Guide is not doing too badly at all.
I think any domain can be a success if the hard work and quality is there. In theory I should not do so well outside Europe and while UK gives the best traffic, Aus and NZ have had the best conversions so far.

It is not great for branding neither for SEO, but you started with an ugly extension and want to make it nice and rank well. I have not started with http://www.online-casinos.eu for that as members advised me to go for a .com domain.
This is no problem if you put all your time and effort in it but you will likely have no repeat visitors searching for your domain slots guide as a brand or easy to remember domain name.
If you want to sell it later on you will encounter the same problems.

You are correct about resale but that is not on the cards anyway.
Branding is also an issue but thatis coming along slowly but surely.

We have a lot of repeat visitors though.

I think in our business finding a catchy dot com address is very tough and I don't worry too much about it now.

Look at some of the big affiliates, LCB is a mouthful and a bit of a spammy looking name but theyhave done amazing. The wizard domain names aren't brilliant but everyone knows them. Askgamblers are successful due the the volume of work that has gone into them, not necessarily the domain name though it is memorable and their branding is brilliant. Gpwa isn't memorable unless you really try to remember it, Same for pogg.

The very best of course is probably Casinomeister who is living off the name, brand and past glories. But how man casinomeister standard domains are out there?

At this point I think you make the .eu as part of your branding.. I see your site in the Serps from the US often, and its very recognizable as opposed to some of the more generic .com's people have.. onlinecasinobonuses, onlinebonuscasinos, bonuscasinosonline - easy to get them confused. With that said, I think you will have no problem getting repeat visitors to find your site.

You may have a lower initial click through rate as sure, people are more likely to click a .com then a .eu but once you get them in the door, if they like your site I would say you should have a stronger chance for repeat visitors.

Branding is all about standing out, I think your making it work for you.
