How much content do you think you need to publish?

Hi guys,

I'm doing my affiliate site around a full time job as a hobby really, I'm struggling with how much content I will need to be uploading.

I'm trying to do between 1-3 a day however starting July I will have a writer working with me who will add 30 extra articles each week - is there a good number of daily posts?

These will be slot review pages.

Also if there is any specific brand thats better to work on first? I don't want you to reveal "trade secrets" or anything like that, just a nudge in a general direction would be appreciated :D

Assuming that you already have enough content so that your site covers the subjects you want then the question really is .. How often do you want readers to return to your site ?

IF you'd like them to return daily - then give them something new each day.
IF you'd like them to return weekly - then update the site with good content twice a week (in case they visit 5-6 days).

You think it's the same for slot/casino players?

I don't think it matters what niche your in.
Carve yourself a good reputation and a site that's based on providing factual information, void of hyperbole and players will return.

There's some real crap sites out there these days.
Any player who has been around for a while, has been suckered into 'larger than life' BS and probably lost wins because if it.

Will they return to a site like that? No.

Reiterating given them the truth and facts and dress that up in an appealing manner. In the long run it will pay dividends with returning players ;)

We try for at least 1 article a day, our slot site is based around Marvel superheroes (http://slotsmarvel.com) so we get a wider audience.

We have pushed out more and we definitely get more traffic, imo the more content the better. Quality over quantity though, if over the last 10 articles u didn't get many visitors then you should look at pivoting your subject matter.

My 2 cents

I agree.. the more high quality content the better... But you should also check to make sure your content is getting indexed.. If you are writing bulk or lower end content, or content that has been done over 100 times, it may not even be getting indexed.. and then you are working backwards.

I believe consistency and regularity is more important than quantity. If you want people to check your site daily, have articles daily or 1.5/day on average, but the focus should be on quality. Also it depends on the content you do - if you offer say slots, poker and bingo, you should post at least 3/day since the target audience barely overlaps in these categories, while if you only do say slots, 1 should be enough. Last but not least, don't have a schedule. If people realize it, they will only visit after your update.
