Was given this link to the GPWA:
http://www.gpwa.org/forum/what-duplicate-supression-222497.html

EDIT: OP added this link to post (which seems to also include "duplucate suppression" issues):
http://www.gpwa.org/forum/stats-issue-multiple-brands-using-ia-220378.html

I've recently been promoting Guts who also used Income Access and after reading the entire thread above, I'm starting to wonder if I'm also being affected by this "Duplicate Supression"???

I'm not entirely sure exactly how referred players fall through the crack (in its basic terms that what I'm understanding is happening). Of course losing any referred players is a worry.

If anyonme can add some basic infor about this, without getting too technical, it would be appreciated. Further more should I be concerned?

There are a lot of non-technical people in that thread talking about stuff they have no knowledge of. That part I dislike to be honest. I can boil it down in pretty simple terms...

ANY affiliate software (Netrefer, IA, Microgaming, RTG, Rival) can be gamed. It is not IA's fault that a program misuses their API. IA has a team to make sure the program is using their API with their set of best practices to ensure everything is 100% legit. But it is an API folks ... a set of methods that allow a program to funnel it's data into the IA framework. Yes, that is a simplistic view, but nonetheless true. Blaming this on IA is stupid at best. What needs to happen is what was suggested in the thread - audits. If this were done, you would find many programs deficient, IMO. I doubt it would slant towards IA, either.

Programatically, his would be like blaming JQuery for you putting the wrong data in your chart object. It's not JQuery's fault that you didn't provide it with the correct data.. lol

Before anyone 'goes off' on me... TheGooner IS technical [and I agree with his ideas on a test vector for IA and their programs].

I'm not about to go "off" at anyone, we'll all entitled to opinions, hey!
Agreed Gooner seems to have a finger on the pulse here and has highlighted a number of issues with regard to IA. Whether IA act on these suggestions is up to Income Access.

What I'm concerned about right now, is losing players who should be tagged and are not.

While it could happen to any tracking system, it seems that Income Access has more than a few complaints spread over more than a few years, which all seem to point back to tracking issues, or lack of...just sayin. Hence the reason I commenced this thread, as I don't work for nothing, as I'm sure other affiliates don't either :)

This message below from MoneyGaming affiliates this week who have had ongoing stat problems for months with Income Access. How many players are going MIA at MoneyGaming for affiliates!

Dear Affiliate,

We are experiencing some issues in uploading the stats for the month of June 2015, therefore the stats you see are not correct.

Income Access is trying to fix it asap, so please bare with us until this has been fixed.

Any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards,

I had the problems with betfred back in 2011 and simple avoided promoting IA driven program except for the programs that migrated over.

Are IA truly attending to this issue? Is Money Gaming on IA's case to get these stats issues fixed?
I'm at a loss how such a large company as IA, seem to drop the ball consistently when it comes problems like this.

Granted these issues are not reserved for IA only.
We've seen in-house backends and NetRefer have stats data issues. However they get fixed. And 9 times outa 10 they don't keep popping up over and over again.

Yeah, the deal is... they can have issues on DISPLAYING the data and PROCESSING the data... But the data is what the program's give them. If a program wants to create duplicate databases and feed in data MINUS players they want to skim, ANY system will let them do that. The only way that will become transparent is if we had data from both the casino backend and the affiliate tracking database. Otherwise we are just guessing.

Auditing is another way to determine. I self-audited programs early on and caught programs doing shady things. I showed them the data, they paid me the money and/or put players back in my accounts. Those programs are long gone, but if you track your players and scan your affiliate accounts regularly (especially in an automated fashion), you can determine a few things.
