Hi Everyone

I've been approached by an AM with several brands that have an Anjouan License.

What do affiliates think of this?
I know its regulatory standards are not as good as say Malta or UKGC, but is it the same or worse than Curaçao?

Many thanks

I mean i had to look up where it was - it certainly doesn't rank in terms of standards with the above mentioned and if you do a little research, the Comoros where this license originates it states : the fact that Comoros ranked 167th among the 180 countries on Transparency International's 2022 Corruption Perceptions Index tells you everything you need to know about the Standards that will be implemented.

It essentially is trying to fill the vacuum that has been created by the lifting of standards on the Curacao License I guess

Thanks for your input euromill.
I've looked into the brands associated with the license, and they're not good.
That's that then!
AVOID!

Yeah, Anjouan license has popped up now more frequently. Probably cheaper and more "flexible terms" than the Curacao 2.0 license from operator's perspective.

There is nothing to pay attention to the license in the case of a partner.
I don't see the connection between the license and cheating partners.
If the operator is dishonest then regardless of the license you are sending players and traffic into the air.

That's a good point, but it's the relaxed regulatory rules around it that's an issue for me.

never even heard of that so had to search it out. every day is a school day but personally i'd avoid due to knowing nothing about it/them
That's my view too. I'll give it a few months and see if it keeps popping up and if more brands are using it.

Hey guys, my personal opinion is that this license came into existence to replace Curacao as a less regulated, since Curacao is going to be gov-regulated and master licenses are going bye bye. As @danieldan mentioned it's not about the license if an operator is good or not.

Hey guys. This is a good topic....I keep getting contacted by brands with this license and was actually wondering about it....after doing some research it looks like it's a lower profile version of the Curacao license indeed.

I think someone has written something similar before, but I was also reminded of my situation when I wrote to the affiliate program what the country restrictions were so that I would post it on my site in a review.
They wrote me back something like this (I'm writing from what I remember) "Due to our strict and restrictive licensing requirements as well as our commitment to comply with laws and local regulations, we do not accept players from Antarctica, Island xxx, Island xxx, Island xxx."

SIG this one is older, actually i think before 2000. It's an okay license, not regulated much tho like Anjouan.

Kahnawake Licenses are as old as Online Casinos basically - originally a lot of Casino servers were based on First Nations/Mohawk territories and I remember working for one of the first MGS Casinos that boasted a Kahnawake License. In terms of usefulness - well it doesn't do much anymore as most places are regulating in Europe and in North America its down to the states/provinces. In the old days I guess it was about providing a trust factor ( License) for players.

The Comoros license is not hugely popular, but Slotland and Winaday have been licensed there for a long time.
It now looks like the Legend Affiliates brands (Casino Max, Cherry Jackpot, etc) are now licensed over there.

Licensing is a tricky thing. Some licenses are way to lenient and let the casinos do whatever they want, while
others (the UKGC) seem way to strict and continue to add new rules that some may see as being too restrictive.
