I know there are a couple of folks here who promote the UFC and/or MMA in general. I've been working on my site and updating content for the UFC 129 event coming up next week.

As of this morning, the SERPS are simply crowded with spam sites :( I ranked well yesterday, but today I am way down the list. What a joke Google SERPS is becoming! I am not sure how these folks are gaming the system, but they are doing a damn good job of it.

And killing me in the process :( Glad I spent all that time getting things in order for this event. I got all my traffic from Google, BTW, so this hurts.

I didn't really want to mention the search terms, since they are the ones I am targetting :) Here are the crap that I see, though:

1. YouTube links
2. Facebook links
3. Brand new blog-style duplicate sites

and more, but it's sooooo frustrating :( I understand the Sherdog, Bleacherreports, and those types (even though I usually outrank them), but the rest asstound me. Especially after I was ranked #2 just yesterday.

How did everyone do after the UFC 129 event? I know there are only a few of us here :)

I had a couple of new depositors, but that is not unusual. The Google-love was down a lot for me, so it wasn't a great event. However - the bettors did bet a bit more and for some reason did not use the picks I gave out, so they lost. I guess that is good for me, though.

I may have to give some other Sportsbooks a try. BetUS is the only one I have been working with lately because they have always netted me players where others have not. Plus their creatives are top-notch (even if they only give them to you days ahead of time, 1 week tops).

It's very difficult to get real money players at ANY USA facing sportsbooks, that's for sure. So, if you're doing well with BetUS, my suggestion would be to only add a single alternative to start with. Less choice is frequently beneficial when trying to get new players.

That isn't exactly the approach I'm taking on my MMA site, but it's definitely true that if you suddenly give your visitors 8 or 9 different sportsbooks, then there's a good chance they won't be able to make a decision at all.

While BetUS does convert, there are better books out there in terms of odds and reputation. Also, you should give your non USA traffic an option or two.

PM me if you would like to continue this as I'm a little reluctant to give away the farm on a public forum.
