Massive RTG beep-up - now only 77 slots!

I have just found out, purely by chance, that RTG did not know what everyone else on the planet has known for at least 2 years - Flash was discontinued at the end of December

As a result, nearly all their older slots cannot be played on the download client or PC browser because they didn't convert them to HTML5.
Looks like they CAN still be played on mobiles at least!
By my reckoning, that means PC players can only play 77 slots from the full list of 204 slots in their catalogue...

This is going to cost casinos and affiliates big time
I'm just glad I'm not in casino CS dealing with all the player complaints!

Yeah we had some folks discussing this on our forum. Its not like this should have come as a surprise to anyone. Flash has been dying since Steve Jobs said it would never be on an iphone and that was what, 10 years ago or more? Google and other browser developers have announced a timeline years ago for the end of Flash support and even Adobe announced the EOL was end of 2020 back in 2017.

Obviously RTG are not a cutting edge developer and they are happy to operate behind the times in the shadows of unregulated markets, but even by their standards this is fairly amateurish.

Flash games have been converted to HTML 5. The impact of not converted game will only be on Instant Play. The games that are already available on Mobile WILL continue to work on mobile.

KK you drama queen!

RTG have been converting games to HTML5 for the last 2 maybe 3 years and slowly releasing them as they go. Affected games are still available on the download version of the casinos. I believe there are still some outstanding updates yet to happen to convert some but not many.

The older games or legacy games that remain in flash will be removed (or have been already). These are games that either couldn't be converted or little played games.

Since the beginning of December, the newer games (and some older ones too) can't be played on my desktop but can on the tab and the Phone. The error code is: device or browser is not supported. Your hardware does not meet minimum system requirements.

It now looks like even fewer games can be played on my desktop than 1-2 weeks ago or the problem is intermittent.

That is EXACTLY my fear, and the reason I started this thread in the first place.

Frankly I am totally shocked that a huge company like RTG, with probably MILLIONS of players world-wide, would allow something like this to happen.
The two casino reps I have spoken to seem to think this is no big deal - but I bet they will change their tune if the casinos start seeing a drop-off in player deposits...!

RTG... The Godfather of deposit only casinos. Perhaps their dispute service can help fixing the games again.
