Ladbrokes will shortly move to the Mexos affiliate system (as of Monday) instead of using Income Access.

Upon checking e-Marketing Solution - Affiliate Program Software & Campaign Management I've found they proudly advertise that they work with Winner.com, William Hill and EuroPartners :smellie_spit:

Tells you a lot?

Perhaps it's easier to rob affiliates through mexos than Income Access? :emoticon-0130-devil

Any thoughts? Anyone worked on Mexos before?

This is the godawful system that AffUtd use. It's no surprise that William Hill are migrating away from it to NetRefer. Mexos is, in my not-in-the-least bit humble opinion, completely unusable. It's sluggish, half the reports don't make sense, it takes so long to grab banners that you'll have to put it in your will for your grandchildren to put them on your site. In a word: sh*te.

Thanks tryme1, that's useful to know. I didn't know it was AffUtd! Why would ANYONE migrate to that system? Even from Income Access, which I don't like entirely. This is a terrible move for Ladbrokes. And, at Barcelona they were telling affiliates that they would be moving to some great new system with loads of new features. Let's see what it looks like tomorrow when they migrate. They've already delayed migration, so no doubt there will be problems. For a start, no history is being migrated :(

Surprise surprise, the Ladbrokes migration to Mexos failed yet again and it's delayed. Having just also worked out that Winner are on this system too there's no way I'll be advertising them either. It's a bit of a farce really - how can this company (mexos) have operated for so long on such terrible software? Crazy. Makes you wonder whether you can trust the stats in this system too, as detailed in many other posts on AGD.

Want bet that Mexos is actually a subsidiary of Playtech itself and clients are 'encouraged' to use it?

ya-ha

type "mexos senior java developer" into google. (I'm not allowed to post URL's yet)

Playtech got a dodgy reputation then? I'm getting the feeling that there's a lot of incestuous activity going on with companies based in the same locations. Doesn't seem all above-board

Google "Teddy Sagi conviction". That is Playtech's founder and majority shareholder. Actually here's a delicious article about him that doesn't hold back:
Teddy Sagi: World’s Greatest Stock Promoter? | Gaming Business News : CalvinAyre.com

Google "Joyland Casino jackpot theft". It is believed that Sagi was a beneficiary of that one too. And the same problem still exists today - most of the two bit Playtech licensees still have a 9000 per month withdrawal limit that includes progressive jackpots.

Then you have the documented dodgyness of the major Playtech licensees and their affiliate programs like EuroPartners and cpays / Aff United.

Seeing as it is Playtech developed, I wouldn't trust this Mexos system at all.

Quote from article:
"Also in April, the Las Vegas Review Journal suggested that William Hill’s delay in approval by the Nevada regulators could have been a result of William Hill’s involvement with Sagi’s Playtech. The regulators needed to have a closer look at Sagi’s history. They don’t look kindly on convicted felons, Sagi was convicted on fraud and bribery in Israel back 1996, for which he received a 9-month stint in the slammer. Thankfully, for William Hill they gained approval despite their involvement with Playtech."

No wonder William Hill are trying to shake off AffUtd and move to NetRefer.

This is a great article and if ANY affiliate needed any convincing to never work with anyone remotely connected to Playtech, then this is it! So, that already rules out William Hill, Ladbrokes, Winner, Europartners. The guys fronting up these affiliate teams may be friendly and unaware of the corruption in their companies, but this does not excuse the daylight robbery that is going on in these companies. After reading that article I'm removing all ads related to Playtech in any way from my sites.

unfortunately, many new affiliates seem to be blissfully unaware of Playtech's history. People do still work there from the CPAYS days but perhaps they were unaware of what was happening at the time.

Separate from the facts i've had lots of hearsay from ex-employees and affiliates at conferences about some of the dealings that went on. It does still shock me to this day that a trusted established brand like William Hill and Ladbrokes are happy to work with these people.

As i write this I can almost feel my players being detagged! lol

This is the problem for a lot of affiliates - we're afraid to speak up and challenge these people. I am. But, we should, and somehow if I could stop all new affiliates putting money into the pockets of these, what seems to be, criminals (given the owner of Playtech spent almost a year in jail then that's a fair statement!). Perhaps AGD, instead of just having reviews by program it should have groupings of programs - e.g. casinos by software provider, and bookmakers by ownership, because this is the real way of filtering out the good guys from the bad guys. There are too many "bedfellows" in this industry. I've even had people Skype me saying "could you please advertise our brand", and when you question what's in it for you their best marketing speak is "well, I sit 20 metres from the Ladbrokes guys in the same Tel Aviv office". That does not encourage me, that scares me!
