Carl Brincat, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), will not seek a contract extension, and his existing contract will expire on January 25, 2024, as announced by the MGA's Board of Directors. The board expressed its gratitude for Brincat's exemplary leadership during his tenure and confirmed its commitment to ensuring a smooth transition to the next CEO, who will be selected through a public application process and is set to take on the role on January 26, 2024. Meanwhile, MGA remains dedicated to strengthening the gaming sector in Malta and fostering opportunities for innovation.
