Malta Gaming Authority canceled the licenses of seven iGaming operators in the first six months of 2020. The sanctioned followed the compliance audits and formal investigations.
MGA recently promoted its Chief Legal and Enforcement Officer, Carl Brincat to serve as its new Chief Executive Officer, and reportedly, fined Blackrock Media with a financial penalty, after the Dutch firm was found guilty of having run the iGaming service without the necessary authorization.
