Engine Australia has been chosen to develop and run the project. The players in Australia will be able to self exclude for three months once the National Self-Exclusion Register is up and running. Australian Communications and Media Authority has chosen Engine Australia to build the register.

Would it shatter your world-view if they did?

"Illegal" because some politician is protecting his insanely rich friend's business, yet allows gambling to take place in literally every nook and cranny of the entire country? Ridiculousness these laws are!

That pretty much sums it up right there.

Here in Australia, we have pubs, which most offer all sorts of gambling. Hell, I was at the local (BP) petrol station the other day, and on a tv monitor, Keno draws were taking place. Not only can you purchase lotto tickets, and instant scratch tickets from this petrol station, but also sit down and play Keno too.

The AU 2017 IGA ban is the biggest sham I've witnessed in a long time.

The Hotelier's Association give a LOT of money to AU political parties. Hence, these bribes have power ;)

When will these fools learn that prohabition does not work, and trying to stop progress is futile.

Nope, but like this it makes no sense at all. Gambling addicts can gamble anyway. At offshore websites - there are plenty in Australia - and also landbased.
