OK my big question of the day...

If you had a choice between negative carry over, or bundling what would you Choose? I know they both suck, but I'm just curious.:emoticon-0138-think inquiring minds want to know :p

I would have to say 'that depends' :)

IF: I promoted 1 of the bundled casinos only AND there was no cross-promotion done to the other casinos, I would choose bundling easy, because then it isn't really bundling.

Otherwise it is pretty much the same thing :)

I'd have to say i'd choose bundling. Negative carryover is terrible sometimes, especially when you have a big player who wins $10,000 plus! If there was negative carryover for that casino, it could take months to earn that money back. At least with bundling, if someone wins big on one casino, then the others can compensate for it :)

Bundling is preferable - I tend to just promote one casino when there is bundling in a group which negates it. I might have the others as token gestures or for completeness but only one will get my full attention.

I will work with negatives if the casino is very good at retention, are sympathetic towards wiping it after X months if it drags on, or if there are no other casinos available for that specific target audience. I can understand and appreciate the casino argument for NCO hence why some flexibility is quite reasonable.

I agree with most here. Promote one brand if they bundle. The problem arises when they cross-promote (tagged hopefully :p) and then it will be bundled anyway. Some programs you can convince to not cross promote (or at least not-popup) ... like BCP gave me a URL that would not put the pop up banners for all their other properties.

NCO is more important in my opinion. But both suck.

like Simmo! says you can deal with it sometimes if the negative is very big and the company fences the player for you.

but in the on-set the easiest to defeat is bundling: on multiple occasions I have refused to promote a program unless I'm excluded from the bundling clause or allowed to open separate accounts for each casino in return for promoting them. ... that's the easiest.

use your leverage!! :)

Thanks guys for your replies. they have five casinos and there all good IMO. so do you think I should only promote 1 or 2 instead of all 5?

The best way IMO is to make a list of the casinos you promote in order of how they treat and retain players. If all 5 of these bundled ones come high up on your list then long term you may be better off with players there than at others outside the group that are crap retainers or don't offer as a good a service.

For the sake of the odd bad month, if you are keeping those players longer they may well play winnings back another month anyway. In fact I am going through exactly that at Brightshare right now. Had a big winner last month wiped me out but this month he has stuck all the winnings back and I am up substantially more than if he hadn't won last month (hmmm.... I shouldn't say that with 1 day to go *gulp*!)

There is some risk attached but there is the other way too.

I agree with everyone else - Bundling is preferable to NCO...

Bet365 - this is my 29th consecutive month in the red.
MainStreet - went 13 months in the red.
ClubWorld - went 8 months in the red.
(Would have been MUCH longer but they agreed to remove the winning player from my account).

I don't sign-up to any programs with NCO now - just not worth it.

Not really sure. I've had 4 depositing players since I went into the red in November 2008, but I stopped promoting them in January 2010 after they refused to help me in any way to clear the negative.

Just for ref: The lowest point was -$1,175 (March 2010), but now it's up to only -$142... so I could be in the black by the end of the year! ;)
