Someone received a letter from NETeller with the changes in their T&C? What do you think about these changes (Especially about section-6.17)

"Section 6.17 provides that you must not use your NETELLER account to run a business (unless we agree that you can)."

I'm going to take a guess and say that Section 6.17 would pertain to someone that is using
their account to accept payments for purchased items, etc. I don't think that has
anything to do with affiliate payments, and I wouldn't think it would affect affiliates.

Even so... since I look at T&C's all the time, I have to say.. I HATE contracts that have such a massive loophole as that. Essentially they could apply that to any business if they so chose. You would think a company as big as Neteller would have lawyers that could write a much better term (unless they WANTED it open-ended like this).

I understand your concern. It is broad language that could be take a whole lot of ways.

I think this is mainly against let us say a casino affiliate who would not spend with the neteller account but only receive payments constant every month. As then there is not much into it for Neteller. Of for that sake any other business kind of person who would only use it to receive his money and just withdraw or transfer to his bank.

But for us casino affiliates who also use it a lot to make transfer or play casinos / online gambling or even buy stuff online. Then here I think is where they are fine?

I would hope that would not be the case PaaskeUK.

An affiliate, or ANY Neteller member that is strictly using their account for incoming payments, is still earning Neteller fees.

The merchant making the payments is paying fees, and the Neteller member is paying fees for withdraws, so Neteller is STILL EARNING from the payments.

If Neteller needs to raise the fee a little to cover this, so be it.

Those that want to complain about Neteller fees being too high, I challenge you to learn to live WITHOUT Neteller like we had to here in the US. (I sure miss Netller)

I have to agree with Andy though, the way that is worded could be used against an affiliate but it is likely written to try and control someone using a personal account to collect business payments instead of setting up a standard merchant type account.

Did you notice that from January, 2016, their foreign exchange fee will change from 2,95 to 3,39%?

They are changing a lot there at Neteller.
Uploading money with Ideal (Instant bank payment method in NL) was always free. Now they ask a fee.
Money transfers to other members have now also fees again.

One thing I don't understand about Neteller is why they have USD accounts, but
you cannot withdraw in USD, so you automatically incur an exchange fee.

Lots of places south of the US border allows you to withdraw in $, Also some prefer US accounts as that's what they are paid in then take loss on the ATM wherever they are globally
