Neteller - Total Absurdity

They pull their ATM MC Card in Nov with little to no notification. Should be noted, I've held a NT account since 2000/01. Furthermore, held VGold IP status for years. Common sense should tell these goofs, I'm not an unknown customer.

In Dec/Jan 2017, they required me (along with others) to verify myself, again, with a further Doc. So I comply, cause it's not a biggy. However, I log in today, to be greeted with yet another request for ID. But this time, they now require me to USE MY WEB CAM... I shit you not!

They ramble on about how the process is 100% SSL secure and what not, yet the WEB CAM CAP wont be done on the Neteller site, instead thru a 3'rd party. Who is this 3'rd party, I've never heard of them.

What they want me to do is, hold my photo ID, along with my face, which takes a snap shot of both, together. This is what they now want me to use to verify I am who I say I am... FFS!!!

I'd tell em to stick it but, I have a couple of aff programs who don't use EcoPayz, and it's more than a couple hundred per month,. So I either tell NT to stick it, and get those programs to wire said funds, in which case the proceeding months waiting for said wires could mean that money is reduced to nothing.

Or I comply with this BS request from Neteller.

Still no ATM card as promised by Feb 2017. Now wondering if I send this, will a swab arrive in the post next month, requesting I send them my DNA

I'm guessing Skrill customers can expect a similar request soon!

What with the CWC et al issues, and ALL the other stuff we affiliates are getting screwed over . This industry is going to hell in a handbag. And, it seems to be getting worse with each passing month. I'm thanking regulation for this shit-storm. Before that donkey rode into town, things were a lot easier, and we were all making cash.

This is a joke for sure. They may offer this method to verify an account, but should be offering an alternative for those who do not want this circus due to privacy reasons.

My picture of Neteller has gone down the drain over the years as well. They caused inconveniences and disappointments on more than one occasion. Eventually they cheated affiliates out of their traffic by implementing their affiliate program, collecting accounts and then redirecting the ewallet customers to bookmakers, poker rooms, casinos and financial betting websites through their own affiliate links. Anyone dealing with them should be aware of this.

It is more than about time for these quasi-monopolists to get a proper competition!

@CygX1 - agreed the way they implimented, and went after affiliate traffic, was dispicable. But their mindset is that of corprates these days. Ladbrokes, Sky etc., etc. They'll all tarred with the same brush. This industry was far better for ALL when it was cowboy town.

But then I return to the thought, if Neteller isn't owning the propritory software, and it's gonig thru a 3'rd party, then who is also having access to my personal data. Pointless touting the SSL angle, if that data is being received/manipulated by a 3'rd party, then sent to Neteller.

It's not! I just logged into my Neteller account and got the warning

"Neteller has changed its account verification policies and now requires all members to complete additional identity verification steps. In order to ensure your account usage will not be interrupted, please complete the below steps to verify your account."

Now, the strange thing is that at the bottom of the verification page I see two options: "Use your webcam" and "You can also get verified by applying for a Net+ Mastercard." since I already have a Net+, I clicked on "Apply Now" but I got redirected to My Net+ Card page and the warning is still there at the top of the page every time that I log into my Neteller account.

Plus, I cannot find any email, contact form or telephone numer on the website so I can contact them and ask some questions.

Can anyone give me a valid Neteller support address?
Also, has anyone complete the webcam verification?

I'm just a little bit worried because I have several programs paying through Neteller and I don't want to have my account usage "interrupted" as stated in the warning.

Which btw seems at odds in part, to their required cam verification process.

The enhanced verification is required for members who have exceeded certain transaction limits.
In order to pass the enhanced verification, you have 2 options:

• Option 1 states: Make a webcam verification – you should take a photo of yourself with your ID document next to your face. If you do not have a webcam on your computer, you can take the photo with your ID document next to your face with your mobile phone or camera and send it through your NETELLER account.
  
• Option 2 states: Send a Utility Bill – the document must show your name and address (the address must be the same as the one registered in your NETELLER account) and must be issued in the last 90 days. Phone bills are not accepted.

@jopaa - As much as I destest Neteller for lying to me. I've had no other choice but to jump their damn hoops. I too receive payments to NT, which can't be paid to another web wallet. Anyway, prepare yourself for much frustration.

Took me 3 attempts before the automated identification program would accept my ID. My DL has a shiny clear plastic coating, embedded with watermarks. So all but limited lighting, and holding said DL at correct angle, is the only way I could obtain acceptable ID images.

I used my laptop cam, but would have got better results with my desktop cam. Problem is couldn't find it!

They already have a jpg copy of my DL, so shouldn't be a problem. Then again it's Neteller we're dealing with, and Murphy's Law prevails with them!!!

I don't feel comfortable taking a selfie with my ID near my face. It seems rather stupid in my opinion.

I think you'll find the web cam verification is madatory. Seems it's now a part of Neteller's KYC protocol.
So even if you apply for a Net+ Card, they'll require you to use the webcam verification.

So these clowns send me the following email today, stating my DL is "damaged", and is not acceptable... Ummm my DL is covered in a clear plastic film, which also includes watermarks, specifically designed to stop the DL from being fraudantly copied. It's not damaged at ALL... Sheesh. So that entire process last night was a BIG waste of time.

Ironically these clown accepted the said DL when I had to submit updated proof of ID docs, a while ago. So this confirms they are complete nitwits. My guess is they do not want AU accounts etc. And, seem only now to want SEPA countries. Fine... I'll get those affiliate payments sent to my bank account instead...

With regard to NT. Sent VIP support an email, stating the obvious idiocy of their decision, with regard to my DL. Received a reply back, requesting I send a colour jpg copy of said DL. I'll get onto that now. Hopefully, this matter can be sorted.

TBH, the service I've received from ECO totally blows Neteller/Skrill out of the water. Not to mention, I receive bank wires within 36 hours from the UK to AU. NT stall bank wires (guessing for their own gains on the short term money market), and can take up to 10 working days to get a wire from Neteller. In 2017 this is absurd.
