After 8 years of sticking with Ladbrokes, despite all the negative comments on AGD, they have finally shown their true colours and stabbed me in the back

8 years of hard work (one of the first casinos I listed when I launched my site in 2006), links and banners on multiple pages, glowing reviews, sending them more new registrations than almost any other brand I was promoting, making them £10,000's of profit... and all for what?
Now, when chasing why they haven't paid me for May & June, they tell me they are now applying Negative Carry Over to my account, like it or not. (My players won in Feb, March & April).

When I challenged them for making this change without my consent, do you know what they said...?
"Send us 10 new depositors every month and we will waive NCO"
TEN??? Are they fucking joking?
(My average was 2 or 3 - even less now that they dumped MG and switched to second-rate Playtech software).

Ladbrokes, you can officially read this as our DIVORCE!
Tossers.

Disgusting at least nice even UK customers are abandoning them now ! They deserve nothing but the worst coming for them! Sorry to hear this KK. I got same crap from 10Bet when I had nice special deal with them. Get at least 5 new depositing players every 3 months. (that is at least lot better than what Ladbrokes did to you)

I'm so glad that I never promoted them.

I dealt with them as a casino customer and that was bad enough.
I recall one CSR phone call, where I'd dropped $7K in one session. Asked for a comp and got this smart ass comment...do we ask you for a comp when you win?

That was the last time I played there. Least to say a few month later they exited from the AU market.

Unfortunately loyalty by player or affiliate doesn't amount to much, in this industry, these days.

On a brighter note... my solace comes, knowing, eventually those who cast their loyal players and affiliates aside, will eventual come knocking back on my door. At which point, I'll slam it shut in their faces!

Thanks for responding to the thread.

Obviously I have already taken this up with my Affiliate Manager (JD) and his reply was pretty short and curt, as I stated in my opening post.

OK, so maybe the term "we reserve the right to impose NCO" was in your T&Cs from day 1 - I really don't know.
But after 8 years of loyal and hard work in promoting your brand, NEVER having NCO imposed before, I think it's a pretty shitty move to suddenly throw that at me without even the courtesy of discussing it with me first.

Seems all the really big brands don't give a toss about affiliates anyway, which is why I don't work with the likes of William Hills, 888, BWin Party, BetFair, etc...
I'm just very disappointed that Ladbrokes (my personal no.1 favourite casino for MANY years) is going the same way. :(
In the end it is your company which is going to suffer for treating affiliates so poorly, but I guess you are so big that it's not going to effect more than a tiny fraction of your business anyway.

The whole point of this forum is for affiliates to help each other and warn about "bad practices" - that is why I have posted this here in public.

Albeit specifics of a single account could encroach on confidentiality.
However this NCO clause, is in your T&C's, which are not private or confidential - ladbrokespartners.com/affiliate-terms-and-conditions

So claiming this as a confidential matter is a moot point.

Adding, if a program isn't prepared to discuss this in the open, what are they hiding?

I'm looking into your issue further and will get back to you shortly.

As for confidentiality, I was not referring to our T&Cs, but rather more interested in maintaining the confidentiality of your account activity and personal details.

Maybe you need to re-read the above posts ;)

Exactly the same thing has happened to me KK, What's worse is I have NEVER had a negative month with Ladbrokes (that i can remember) and i always managed to bring in between 1 - 5 new depositors. And now I've barely had a positive month and I NEVER have a new depositor. Ladbrokes was my main and only real earner.. Now I earn pretty much zero. Ladbrokes have basically wrote off my whole affiliate income. I feel utterly screwed over :(

On reflection, it doesn't really matter what the affy team do, the nail was put firmly in the coffin when they switched from MG to Playtech software. They were always going down anyway, all the greedy affiliate team have done is speed up the process by screwing their partners.
I haven't rushed to get their brand off my sites (it's a VERY big job), but I will start doing it soon.

BTW, the previous replies in the thread from Ladbrokes saying they would contact me came to nothing - not a peep from them.

I just received what must be the third or fourth email from them within the last month asking for us to excuse the fact that their affiliate system isn't working properly. WTF? How hard can it be to record a click in a database? I could write them a system that would do that reliably and at scale in an afternoon.
