I was talking to a Playtech casino recently, and saying once again how bad they convert/earn.
To emphasise my point, I looked at my income by brand for 2012 - and even I was a little bit surprised just how bad Playtechs performed:

Microgaming ... 31%
Rival .............. 19%
RTG ............... 13%
WagerWorks ... 12%
Net Ent .......... 12%
Misc Others ...... 8%
Playtech ......... 5%

Anyone else have some similar stats they'd like to share?
And any opinions on exactly WHY Playtechs get no-where near the other main brands?

Cheers,
KK

For my traffic Playtech №1.

Playtech slots and games very interesting and hi-quality.
For example, i promote RTG casinos for one reason only, because
they accept US players. If tomorrow playtech or microgaming
start to accept US players again (for example), i will remove all RTG banners
from my site immediately, because all RTG games very boring.

I also (mainly) promote RTG for the same reason as Moonlight, however KasinoKing's stats of Rival out converting them is interesting.
Maybe I should give them more of a chance...

The problems they refuse many countries.

Playtech refuse many countries? Celena, i don't think so. All playtech casinos
don't accept USA players, but different playtech casinos accept different countries.
For example playtech have special casinos for Spain, France or Mainland China - countries that most other playtech casinos don't accepted.

Online casinos are banned in France! France authorizes online poker, agree to in Arjel. No Playtech casinos, do not take the french, I know. I do not live in France, but I'm French. Spanish lesgislation allows some casinos, it may be of Playtechs ago, I do not know. I have a site .es
If you know of Playtech casinos that accept French and Spanish, let me know. There is always a impressionnane list of countries that do not accept in their terms and conditions.

OMG that is much worse than I expected but the games are looking good so what could it be that their performance is that bad ??
Thanks to you and everyone else for the relies so far (keep 'em coming!)

No-one has said WHY they think Playtechs perform poorly, so I'll start the ball rolling with my 3 theories:

1. About half of all Playtech casinos are Rogue, or borderline rogue; I am convinced this puts knowledgeable players off of the whole brand in exactly the same way as we see with RTG and Rival. Most of my income from those latter brands comes from the USA, where players have very little other choice, but of course, Playtech's don't take USA players. MicroGaming, NetEnt, IGT, etc perform much better in the rest of the world because they have far fewer rogue operators.

2. Another reputation even some of the better Playtechs have, is slow payments (days rather than hours) and players being asked to send their ID documents to the Philippines. Again, big turn-offs for many people.

3. Generally speaking, the Welcome (and repeat) Bonuses at Playtechs are very poor compared to other brands; Most have WR which is too high and the bonuses are Phantom (Sticky).

I agree they certainly have some great games (slots) and the ONLY reason I don't play Playtechs much myself is due to the lack of decent bonuses.

Usually when I don't do good with a group or particular software it is because I am not working hard enough with them.

I spend more time working with the ones I already do good with and try to increase the numbers that way. I just started working with Playtechs about 8 months ago after a 7 year break with them.

First thing I would say is looking at the percentage of income from each software provider in isolation tells you nothing without considering the number of clicks that you have sent to each one. For example if you're sending 2% of your clicks to Playtechs and they are generating 5% of your income then you may in fact be doing very well with them. In addition to that, income can be very dependant on the size of depositor which can vary wildly and is often down to pot luck.

That said, I find most Playtech casinos and their affiliate programs to be terrible.

As a player I hate these things about the majority of Playtech casinos:

- Forced bonuses with extremely poor terms such as high wagering, non withdrawable etc. And the misleading advertising of such bonuses, especially the ones where you have to deposit 3 times to claim it all, and only if you lose on the preceding deposits etc.
- Pushy sales staff (cough customer support cough) that pop up in chat message boxes all the time trying to get you to deposit. It's like when you walk into a shop and the sales kid runs up to you and follows you around badgering you in an attempt to get you to buy something. My first reaction to that is almost always "see you later, I'm out of here".
- Slow payments of withdrawals, generally a few days wait at the very least. That might not sound bad compared to the joke casinos that still accept Americans but it's terrible when you consider some of their competition for the European market who routinely pay within 24 hours or less.
- Low monthly withdrawal limits that include progressive jackpot wins. Those who have been around for a while will remember the time a Beach Life winner was ripped off by the casino she won at and never received half the jackpot after they tried to force her to take on a 30 year payment plan.
- The use of a shared database of "bad players" that allows them to block the accounts of players within minutes of depositing, even if they don't claim a bonus. It has happened to me and I had to fight to get a deposit refunded even though I had not even played with it yet.

As an affiliate I hate:

- All the above because it affects the way players perceive their casinos, plus
- The constant cross promotion that players see when they go to many Playtech websites. You refer a player and the first thing they see after a few seconds is an ad trying to get them to click to a different casino. It's another barrier to sign up and it doesn't make sense at all.
- The shady ownership structure with someone as disreputable as Teddy Sagi (convicted of stock market fraud and bribery) in charge.
- The rogue reputation that many of their casinos have towards both players and affiliates, especially the likes of Cpays / AffUtd / Affiliates United.
- Tracking software used by a couple of programs that is bug-ridden at best, fraudulent if you're a cynic, eg EuroPartners.
- Deliberately short tracking cookies used by the likes of Paddy Power (24 hours from memory).

I'm sure there is more but that's all I can think of off the top of my head right now. It's fair to say that I trust the vast majority of Playtech programs as much as I trust used car salesmen.
