This just dropped into my email;

Portomaso said:
Dear Sirs,

Kindly note that, as from the end of this month, we shall no longer be
utilizing the affiliate software, NetRefer. In consequence, you are thus
required to remove all banners and hyperlinks from your domains by not
later than the Thirty-First (31st) August 2015.

While we understand the inconvenience that this may cause, please do not
hesitate to contact ourselves for assistance or for further information.

Kind Regards,
Admin

Awesome.. Now - I have never heard of that program anyway. Are they closing or just not using Netrefer anymore? Either way, I guess... if they can't afford Netrefer, writing is on the wall I guess.

They contacted me to promote them a while back. Did some googling and found that they weren't very trustworthy.

I didn't promote them.

Also received the email, very strange, because where do you go now? Is the casino also closing? If not, what is the new affiliate program?
Well anywhere, doesn't really matter, didn't promote them LMAO, so what am I talking about.....

I've been promoting this casino for exactly a year. Got a few players, but pretty minor overall.

Very strange e-mail - doesn't say if the online casino is closing, if they are switching to a different affy back-end, or if they are planning to steal our life-time commissions...
Have e-mailed them back - will update this thread IF they answer...

Got a reply to my enquiry.
Think something may be lost in translation in the first sentence (or there's some words missing!) - as I can't really understand what they are saying:
Our affiliate network is not performing, and we are more a B2B operations thus we will be focusing mainly in providing via our platform.

Alternatively I can move your account to another skin of ours including the players that you have referred, please advise if you wish to do this so that I can introduce you to www.klavercasino.com

I've heard of Klaver before somewhere - but don't know anything about them really. Having just checked their website, I see they are in the same building as Portomaso Casino, so the 2 were probably always linked...(?)

I know one of the owners of Klaver. My understanding is that they're a white label running on the same network as Portomaso but do not share ownership. That may not be completely correct - it would be odd for casinos to send players to a competitor, though given the small number they may feel it's less hassle to do this that take the hit to their reputation.
