Should we be looking after problem gamblers?

I've seen a lot of things in the news recently about problem gambling numbers rising. I think that we should all be doing more to protect players and making sure that we aren't encouraging them to overspend.

I saw this company was using AI to monitor chat rooms to look for problem gambling keywords. I thought this was really interesting and a cool idea that more sites should probably be using. It helps to flag them so operators can deal with them properly. https://www.agechecked.com/player-vulnerability-monitoring/

What do you think?

I think a good start would be for affiliates to stop targetting them via keywords like "casinos not on gamstop".

In my opinion sites like casinogap dot org and casinomir dot com are the worst of the worst targetting players who have more likely tried to self exclude in the past.

Agree, affiliates *can* do more, many do not *care* to do more.
In our case for example, we focus on bringing 'fairness' to iGaming on emerging markets.
Our listings depend on a 'fairness' a score, and that score is not based on how much a casinos pays or promise to pay us, but rather on a how good/bad, fair or unfair a casino actually is or has been (always prone to error and correction), according initially to our auditable score, and then up to players votes. That ranking decides the whole visibility of the brand involved in the rest of the site. Just one way to go, but one that tries to be transparent.

Unfortunately there are affiliates who simply give a damn about their users, other greedy affiliates that show up as if they do care, because its convenient, but make special deals with shady/black operators, and a few (like us :) who do really care and see our projects not as promotional sites, but rather as tools, to show the real best options for the markets where we operate & create content for.

If you are interested in collaborating in creating tools and content aligned with that goal, get in touch! As there are not many affiliates interested on contributing to a better, more fair iGaming industry. I will be happy to discuss any collaboration!
