Compared to what the forums looked like in 2009-2015, the amount of active/new affiliates is quite low. There's typically several types of affiliates:
- Brand new ones. Not a lot of them these days, probably don't need a content writer since they are starting from scratch and don't have the $. On the same note, they could be unaware (most likely) of what's needed, so they might look to hire someone, but won't last long.

- Your average affiliate. The ones that have been around for several years, maybe a decade or two. They already have established websites, and most likely already have writers in place, with which they have worked for many many years. I haven't changed my content writer since 2012 is one example. It will be hard to convince anyone in this group to let go of their writer and give you a shot.

- The top affiliates. These guys most likely have big companies at this point and have hired writers as employees. Probably the least likely place to get hired.

As you can see your shot is in that tiny window between 'Kind of New' to 'Getting a decent income now', where work piles up and the affiliate needs a writer.

While $ bargains may interest a few people, I believe your best shot is extraordinary quality and connections. In 14 years, you probably should have a big list of connections and previous clients that want to work with you at all time, given they were satisfied with what you have delivered. Perhaps reach out to them, ask them for a feedback.

Obviously this is your business and you know what you do best, just giving you a few clarifications to why things are the way they are at the moment.

You made a valid point that affiliates are working in this manner only. New affiliates do not have enough money to spend, so they don't choose experienced writers. And if they dare to do so, they immediately stop after 1-2 payments. Average affiliates are satisfied with what they have and are not interested in stepping out of their comfort zone. On the other hand, top affiliates have an in-house team to handle their work.

Now, the point arises that average affiliates do not want to grow further or launch new websites, and don't they need more content than their writers' capacity?

As you rightly pointed out, I should stand firmly with my quality writing, and that's precisely what I am doing. My connections have been strong and have helped me throughout my 14-year journey. Most are still in touch, but a few have left the industry, and a few are using ChatGPT. Some offer me little work, while others provide me with work through AI. For instance, recently, I was offered to write a prompt for a casino review. And I'll check the facts and then edit or rewrite as required, keeping in mind SEO surfer and the client's preferences.

However, my mind is still not convinced that people are choosing AI over an experienced and skilled writer, but this is the reality. I'll have to accept this fact and adapt accordingly. I am not in denial and ready to learn new things. Let's see how this world evolves, but let's hope it doesn't diminish the humanity where people help each other.

Maybe you just don't stand out? There are plenty of cheap writers who write generic content that includes information like deposit/withdrawal methods and support email.

But can you write proper brand reviews, guides, blog posts and/or news articles?
Do you actually test those brands when reviewing them?
Do you know what players like and what they should be aware of?
Do you create custom images (thumbnails, infographics, timelines) or only download random ones and take screenshots?
Do you follow latest news in the industry? Can you write a news article/blog post about something that hasn't been covered yet and is interesting?
Can you do deep research and include data, tables, custom charts?
Do you have a good knowledge of games such as Texas Hold'em, Blackjack and Roulette? Can you cover in-depth guides with unique information?
Do readers like your writing style and do you use tools like Grammarly Premium to proofread your content?

I do believe I can produce quality articles with a level of depth and research tailored for each client as per their needs. I like to think that I am well aware of what players want to see as I dabble myself. This naturally means testing (within reason) any sites and/or games covered.
