Hi and thank you for coming in.

The coming future threatens that Las Vegas may be coming on line. if that happens they will opperate under the guidlines and watchful eye of the Nevada Gaming Commission ... arguably the most noted gambling licenser anywhere in the world.

When that happens it will effect much more than just USA players. People will know they are assured payments, fair-odds games etc.

The only entities (aside your own selves) that will be in a position to speak, therefore remind, players that your games are also up to that par ... will be your partners ... the affs.

Changing terms retro shows us no loyalty. How much do you think we're going to give back when Vegas comes on line? Well that will depend upon how we were treated up to that point won't it?

There are a number of other angles (reasons) for doing the right and honorable thing but in case you're letting greed influence your decisions ... consider what I said.

That's kinda ironic bb1 that you made this post here now, in my case anyway since just last week I was talking to my inside contact over at Harrah's about this same issue. I have known this guy there for about 12 years now and he is now a Senior VP there. Over the past six months we have been discussing the aspect of Harrah's going live online and whether or not they would be looking for online marketing affiliates to come on board with them.

It has been some very interesting conversations to say the least. That's about all I can say on that at the moment since he has shared a lot with me in confidentiality but I will say that our future as online marketing affiliates does look bright and that has nothing to do with these online casinos that most of us are currently promoting.

Also as a side note if I were you guys, I would be registering some new domain names to reflect the new wave that is coming..;) I know I already did about 8 months ago.

Gambling Guru, thanks for the info, for the past days I started to feel that I can throw out my hard work on the window, because when trust is broken, it is hard to work as enthusiastic as before.
I hope you are right and we don't need to close the shop ;)

Thanks sipka, and I also hope that what he has shared with me and told me in confidence does hold true and will materialize to be something great for all of us..:)

We, affiliates, must use the forums as well as private contacts we have with AMs etc. to make it clear to the affiliate programs that we demand transparency and honesty in their dealing with us. Getting a retro through the backdoor is definitely neither transparant nor honest.

Perhaps it is too much to ask AGD to refine their T&C assessment of the programs to include some kind of rating of the individual T&C clauses. That will not only give us affiliates a better insight into the policies of the programs, but may also motivate or force the programs to improve their ratings, or at least to explain openly their standpoints.

So many project, so many projects :) This is in the plans, yes, but it is still months away from completion. We have several projects that are being worked on at the moment, but none are simple.

The problem is coordinating the information in our back-end system so that it is not only easy to manage, but easy to deliver.

I've rushed into architectures on my affiliate sites and ended up having to trash the system - I don't want to make that mistake :) So, this is a pretty large task. BUT, it is already 'in process'.

I know that it means a lot of work for you to do anything like what I suggested. But it is good to know that this is in your ToDo List. Good also that the programs know now that it is a part of your Work on Progress, even if you wont be able to complete it tomorrow.

How about a "Changed Terms Retro-actively without including affiliates" EVIL icon list?

I think its about time. I also think if they don't include affiliates in the term change, it should make the program Rogue.
