Has anyone trademarked their affiliate brand in Europe?
How does the process work?

I don't know much about the process, but I'm thinking about trademarking our brand as we are getting quite a lot of branded searches.

It depends on your jurisdiction.
Here, i.e., you have to open a company first then register a trademark through that company.
It cost money, btw. Quite a lot. As for now, something has changed (I don't know on which way), when we did it was a pain in the ass.

I already have a company, but the brand name is different from the company name, is this going to be a problem?
I'm based in Malta btw.

I have branded a name and logo (not gambling related) few years ago in one UE country only through a local lawyer. The total cost was about 600 euros and it took about 3 months.
