We do not use Twitterfeed because we feed to more than 10 different systems, not just Twitter

ok, so I was wrong. I was re-creating the URLs myself on the homepage and on the social networking feed (including twitter). Now I am using the VbSEO API to generate the URLs and it is working 100%
