The UK Gambling Commission has issued a record-breaking fine to William Hill for breaching regulations aimed at preventing money laundering and problem gambling. The company failed to adequately monitor its VIP customers, some of whom were spending tens of thousands of pounds a month and displaying signs of problem gambling. The fine is the largest ever imposed by the UKGC and sends a clear message to the industry about the need for stricter adherence to regulations designed to protect consumers.

The following was posted at the GPWA, in response to the UK Gambling Commission's announcement about gambling ads being removed from UK football clubs etc.

Frankly, all these fines, seem to be rather hypocritical on the part of the UKGC, given, and as stated below, the UK lotteries allowed 16 year olds to gamble. I mean, 16 year olds are children, least that's what the UKGC and other UK gambling authorities have been telling us...

April 2021 the UK gambling commission decided to change the gambling laws on the UK National lottery from 16 to 18.

The worst kind of gambling, selling dreams to mugs. Scratch Cards, way worse than the supposed "crack cocaine of gambling" - the Fixed Odds Betting Terminals". We can clearly see where the UK Gambling Commissions morals lie "whoever they can fine for their own self greed"

Funny how they started hammering affiliates in 2017 and took over four years to acknowledge selling scummy dreams to children whilst making them gambling addicts.

They should at least have the decency to come forward and admit they have no interest in gambling addicts, but only their own dirty parasitical pockets.
