SKYBET PULL ALL UK AFFILIATE ACCOUNTS

WOW!!

Notice of Termination of the Sky Betting and Gaming Affiliate Programme
We are writing to inform you of our intention to terminate the Sky Betting and Gaming UK Affiliate Programme (the “Programme”) and the agreement entered into between you and Bonne Terre Limited in relation to the Programme (the “Agreement”).

As you will be aware, the regulatory landscape in which the industry operates is developing and maturing and operators are experiencing increased obligations regarding their regulatory responsibilities and level of compliance. In order to continue to operate in a compliant manner, we feel that operating the Programme is no longer viable and that managing the output of affiliates presents a significant risk to our business from a regulatory perspective. It is for this reason that we have chosen to terminate the Programme.

Clause 13.2 of the Agreement allows us to terminate the Agreement immediately on providing written notice; however, we have chosen to give you 28 days’ notice of termination of the Programme. Therefore, the Agreement will terminate on 2 October 2017.

In accordance with Clause 13.5 of the Agreement, from 2 October 2017 you must: (1) cease all promotion of our websites and remove all live links to our websites or associated intellectual property; and (2) return all confidential information that you hold relating to Sky Betting and Gaming.

Please be advised that the Affiliate Hub portal, located at affiliatehub.skybet.com, will cease to be available from 2 October 2017 and all commission arrangements for all players will end at this point.

For record keeping purposes, we advise you to download any reports or invoices you require from the portal before 2 October 2017. Should there be any issues with your reports or invoices, please contact us using the details below.

The Programme's final payment cycle will then begin at the end of September and outstanding balances will be paid in full. Payments should arrive in accounts on or around 20 October 2017 as per the normal process. To ensure the process runs smoothly, please check your payment details are up to date with all your banking information. Please note, the Programme does not offer payments via Skrill or Neteller, so if you have not updated your details recently, you must do so with your bank account information as soon as possible in order to receive payment. Failure to do so may cause delays.

If you have any queries, please contact the affiliate team using the following email addresses:

General Queries:Affiliatehub@skybettingandgaming.com

Financial Queries:Affiliatefinance@skybettingandgaming.com

Edward Moss

Yes it's a bloody disgrace and 100% unfair.

Clause 13.2 of the Agreement allows us to terminate the Agreement immediately on providing written notice; however, we have chosen to give you 28 days’ notice of termination of the Programme. Therefore, the Agreement will terminate on 2 October 2017.

If your affiliate agreement was formed before the above clause was included in your agreement, then take that bastards to the UK small claims court. It's no point bitching about this stuff, and doing nothing about it...

How do we find out when the above clause was included in our agreement?

What a complete disgrace this company is.

Even after they received a huge increase in available money after screwing affiliates with their new 5% quota a few years back, they still can't be bothered to hire a few extra people to police their remaining affiliates for compliance?

I feel terrible for the affiliates that continued sending 5 NDPs per month because the money at the time was too much to let go (i.e. residuals were 4-5 figures per month, and going from 25% to 5% wasn't acceptable so they had no choice but to continue).

Instead of sending traffic elsewhere, they felt forced into sending it to Sky -- and now all of that will be for nothing because Sky stabbed them in the back TWICE.

Exactly!
When they cut me from 25% to 5% I had no choice but to dump them (I kept a few banners & links so they couldn't say I was inactive).
At the peak, I was delivering 2-3 NDP's a month - but there was nothing I could possibly do to get 5 a month.
I put a LOT of time & effort into recruiting players - I even made a special website just to promote Sky.

In the last 2 years they stole £5,000 from me - but at least I was still getting something for my previous efforts.
For August, my NGR from the VERY LOYAL players I sent 2+ years ago was £1,581... but my commission was stated as £0.
So it looks like they're even going to steal that last £79 from me!
What complete and utter scum-bags

How many millions of dollars per year will they now have to pay for Google ads and other forms of ads for the same amount of traffic?
How many extra affiliate managers could they have hired to police these "so called" problems, this could have been done for a fraction of this cost they are going to have now.
This is NOT about "'regulatory responsibilities and level of compliance'' this is just outright theft.

Uhm, they outrank almost every affiliate they drop, they have their tv channels, sites like Oddschecker, etc. For saturated brands affiliate programs aren't profitable anymore in a regulated market after some years if you are still having to pay the commission you've agreed years ago under total different circumstances.

That's reality. Up to affilaites to protect themselves better with better contrcts.

That sucks! A total back stab to the people who helped them grow throughout the year. Sad.

Just to let everyone know, I rang Bet365 today with worry and have been assured they will not be following suit.

I've also emailed, betfair, Betfred, Betway, Boylesports, Corals, Ladbrokes and paddy power.

However no reply yet!

Ha-ha! Thanks for giving me a great laugh! :D

Sorry - but do you SERIOUSLY think any of those people would actually ADMIT they are about to bend you over and...
(Well Ladbrokes & Corals already have... unless you have some special deal)

Good luck with that!

Depends on what you think a great deal is?

Also if you are so unhappy and untrusting why even work in this industry....

Yeah I honestly believe some of the firms we refer players to wouldn't shaft us.
