Predatory Terms Under Review

1. With effect from November 23, 2006, if you have chosen a commission based payment plan, you will be paid commissions for the lifetime of your players so long as you refer at least 3 legitimate clients to the VIP Profits merchants during each 3-month rolling period. If any 3-month time period should lapse in which you do not refer at least 3 players, you will forfeit the right to any future commissions on players referred previously and your affiliate account will be closed. Your affiliate manager is always available to help you develop a plan for success, and exceptions can be made at the manager's discretion.

Player accounts funded prior to November 23, 2006, will continue to accrue revenue for the lifetime of the affiliate agreement.

NOTE: This was a change to their previous terms on November 23rd.

Interesting 'Grey Area' Terms

1. Inactive clients:
VIP Profits merchants agree to do everything possible to encourage a first deposit from all players that you refer exclusively at the merchant that you referred them to for 30 days. If the client fails to make a deposit after 30 days, the merchant reserves the right to market any other brands in the group to these players and affiliates tracking will not be applied.

2. Active clients:
VIP Profits merchants agree to do everything possible to extend the life of your clients for as long as possible while they are playing exclusively to the brand that you have referred them to. Any client that lapses in activity for 60 days or more may be marketed one of the other brands in the merchants group and affiliate tracking will not be applied. Merchants understand that some players are seasonal, and these players will of course be remarketed to under their affiliate-referred account during the appropriate seasons.

These predatory terms will be discussed with a VIP Profit's representative. At this time we strongly warn future affiliates from considering this program until which time the terms are amended to a more affiliate-friendly format.

VIP Profits-Update

I had the chance to sit down and chat with Mario at length about the predatory terms at VIP, we could not come to an agreement. I have to say we both are very passionate about our beliefs,
Mario strongly believes that these terms are fair and in no way are predatory, and I myself believe that these terms are indeed predatory and are very offensive to me as a webmaster. These terms are plain wrong, they will
in the end come down to just plain thievery of my hard earned money. Mario has admitted these terms will be enforced and they will be upheld! So your basically at the mercy of his good mood/bad mood of the day if your not performing up to their standards at VIP.
I myself refuse to work with a program who so adamantly defends their right to STEAL my hard earned money and players!! I will again add that Mario believes it unfair for us to lable his terms as "predatory"

VIP Terms are, as of this date, considered VERY PREDATORY.

This is NOT an affiliate program that you would want to work with. The reasoning:

You can send 100 paid players. If your site gets knocked out of the search engines (happens frequently) and you do not get any new players for a while, VIP CAN STEAL YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!

It is that simple.

I had already signed up with vipprofits prior to reading affiliate guard dog. The FAQ suggested that they paid out every month (still do) but when I e-mailed them after not receiving my commission they told me it was paid every 3 months and would be paid the first week in April. It is now 13th May and I'm still waiting. I have now emailed them 4 times and to date have not received a reply. Has anyone else been paid in April. I find it disgusting that they cannot even reply to my e-mails.

We have had way too much trouble even contacting VIP. I can only hope that you receive your funds, we have stopped promoting them a long time ago when their terms changed to predatory.

Yes, their website and their terms state 2 different things in regards to payment times. Their official stance is quarterly payments.

Just to warn everybody once again not to use VIP Profits. I have now sent them 6 e-mails without a reply and the £420 they owe me has still not been paid. I don't know what else I can do I think my only hope is that they will pay it in their next quarterly payment which is July, I think.

Any ideas???
