I was just reading a post how the online gambling and marijuana are similar to alcohol in the 1920’s in the United States of America. Does anyone see a correlation between the Volstead Act and The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 (UIGEA)? If Trump becomes the next president of the United States of America do you think that we will get rid of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 (UIGEA) or amend it?

The Volstead Act was established in 1919 and continued until 1935. Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 (UIGEA) has been around for a decade now and we are seeing changes on a state-by-by level just like the marijuana laws. I would love to hear everyones thoughts.

Without getting way over my head in what I'm talking about here.. I read this article a while back about how the US is in violation of international trade laws by not allowing its players to play at overseas casinos..

I know trump has publicly said before he is for open trade, and noted how the US is losing a lot of money to overseas casinos with its current laws.. I don't however think this would make his top list of things to get done as soon as he takes office. I think some of the public may think that action would be self serving, who knows..

If Trump comes into power I will seriously consider moving to Canada. But @RyanWeb is correct, Trump is for trade.. supposedly. He really has only said a few blurbs about any topic. Nothing concrete as he is smart enough to know that sound bytes last longer in most American's ears than detailed plans. He is a master puppeteer and is playing the crowd like a violin.

Hard to say with Trump, could all be a con job and he'll just use the power to line his own pockets or he could be just what the doctor ordered.

I do agree with you, @TheGooner . That's why I put 'supposedly' :) We need more than term limits, we need complete campaign finance reform. Right now Koch and others own what politicians do and think - so the American people get shafted. It's really pretty bad if you get down into the details and, as a result, politicians have done nothing for the public for a very long time and a LOT for companies (including Banks, Oil, and War Machine companies). I could go on a long time... but campaign finance reform could help slow that down. Less bought and paid for politicians means more that will *actually* find common ground instead of filibustering and thereby hurting the american people. Of course... part of that means independents can run on equal footing, which helps get to that point. The R's and the D's are basically just cancelling each other out with no regard to 'we the people'.

And now that people know my views... don't hate me for it!!! :)

Didn't want that to sound like I don't like term limits! I do and have signed plenty of petitions as such.
