I do not like posting these things. I do not like it one bit. My affiliate manager has been gone for months, totally flaking out and not answering me NOR putting me in touch with another affiliate manger. I highly suggest that someone more professional take over my account.

I do not like being like this, but I cannot stand someone to waste my time.

Can I ask who your manager was?

I ended up being contacted by Kevin who was great and set me up on a nice rev share deal for 3 months and I placed there adds in prime spots.

I have emailed them several times as my earnings last month went from almost $300 down to $53 (which has already been paid) and I cannot see where or what happened to 1 of the players that was generating me most of the income.

I tried emailing Kevin a couple of time's and now I am trying to get in contact with Cobus as he is listed as my aff manager. Will see how this goes.

Let me know if you get a response and I will do the same.

Cheers

Matt

We've been wondering same thing. Some months, earnings and stats are just totally wiped out to zero.
Opens, actives, revenue...all 0.00 eventhough there already was traffic (registrations, depositors and positive revenue) in the past two weeks. Only that remains the same is downloads and visits.
We don't have much traffic to referback sites anyway cause we've dropped the promos ages ago (except Epoca).

My 2cents...
If there were a prize for the affiliate program that went from one of the best of the best to one of the worst...
Referback would win hands down, imo.

I really used to like Referback, used to be my favorite aff program, like I said one of the best of the best.
Now I wouldn't waste my time with them.

I met a decent chap from RB at LAC, at an Affiliate Edge evening. Unfortunately, I was quite tipsy and I have no idea what his name was. Doesn't seem like I was sober enough to ask for a business card either. Not much help, I realise.

That what my stats just did within the last couple days, there were registrations and revenue a few days ago, now that's all 0 and just visits and downloads are left.

There is a thread about the faulty stats over at CAP, it seems to be a temporary bug and all stats have returned to normal now... back to the original topic, my AM is Janine and she always responds very quickly to emails and is always on Skype

Thanks for the responses everyone - at least now I don't feel like I'm exclusively being picked on. In my humble opinion when stats don't work that should tell you something.

I can calculate % with a calculator and could write a stats program in BASIC on a Commodore 64.

Andy:
I think polls would be a great way to set the red-light for "non-communicative" because this program clearly has lots of managers and I am already beginning to believe whats going to happen here next is a strategic game of "good cop - bad cop" -- so a poll would work for programs that have multiple affiliate managers.

I have been getting lots of excuses and frankly "bullsh-t" from my affiliate manager whose excuses seem to have gone on for months from "forgetting" to "getting ready for London", to "coming back from London," (been on planes all day) to "traveling around meeting affiliates" in Europe to actually "I'm vacationing with my brother on a much needed break and have bad internet access."

So naturally I asked mentioned two things. That it was unacceptable to let this go on for months AND to pass me to another affiliate manager who could handle my problems. With the abundance of affiliate managers I can only think these guys are gamers. And we are talking about thousands not being paid to me.

Cobus:
get my details from Colin, and point him to the thread, enough of my time has been wasted already. I've been on Colins "top of my priority list" for months now, going back and forth about getting paid by Refreback and the other program that you "don't" have. Luckily for them the affiliate manager at your other program has probably had his fair share of lime-light in the past and figured out before it came to this (unlike Colin) to login to his Paypal account and get me paid.

Dear WCD_Admin,

Firstly let me apoloigze on not replying to this message sooner, but I did contact you last week while in The Netherlands via skype call ane explained why I had not managed to get to the bottom of your query.

Indeed I have been travelling extensively this last month, and have tried to keep in contact with you throughout. I had numerous problems also during the last month too with VPN access.

When i talked to you last week on Skype I explained I had sent off a message to our payments head to look into whether you had been paid and would get back to you as soon as I possibly could, but would only be back in the office today.

I am normally one of the fstest people on earth to get problems solved, and yours has been slightly more complicated.

I hope we can finally solve yhis today on skype.

Regards

Colin

Colin, I'm not going to argue here, but on many occasions spreading at least a month now I've gotten no answers and been told you'd get right back to me. I'm not sure the last time I talked to you, but you have never gotten any answer to me regarding this commission and its quite an easy one -- someone could have gotten back to me now easily.

Its amazing that you cannot email me, but Cobus can get in touch with you and you can use AGD. I'm all about working it out, if you want to skype me I'm on nearly every day.

Also I do appreciate the other thing you did for me, for sure. but when things didn't work out with the other group that has the same benefactors as Referback, I told you straight up -- I'm not going to give you traffic unless problems across all properties were dealt with.

The lack of enthusiasm in getting our money owed seemed to coincide exactly with this. Coincidence or not, this lack of availability doesn't seem very professional to me especially when you have so many people at Referback who could have helped me and you did not enlist any of them despite the severe frustration I am facing.

Before I posted this, I saw you online in Skype. At 11:09 I asked if you'd like to handle this so I didn't have to post again.... but you never typed anything to me, and I have no email from you regarding anything -- ? now you are not on skype.

And of course I was open to solve it on ANY day. But I cannot do that if you are not available. The ball is in your court, not mine.

I have to say I have never had any problem with Referback but that is because my AM is excellent, I get weekly updates and all that jazz.. of course I am speaking of Cobus :) Honestly this is a shame that not all can be good like this to affiliates, if your not working close with your affiliates then don't expect revenue and main exposure that is all I can say. It is very annoying to have to chase up AM to get things taken care of!!

I axed refer back months ago on my good sites because of stats issues. Its growing into one of those programs you just wish would of stayed one of the good guys. When i get time should just remove the whole lot - just lazy i guess :)

Stats issues you mean not updated or not tracking ?

The stats reporting is a laugh just totals no detailed player information.

If I have the time I will have an audit done just to check if the the money line has not been broken.

Cobus is very responsive, no complaints for that.

Dear WCD,

I hate to answer on public forums and promise that your account is being looked into as we speak and will catch you later today on skype, and did also try yesterday but you were not online.

I look forward to chatting to you in more depth later today via a call!

Me too! It makes me look difficult to work with and I'm not. I warned multiple times that if I could not get action though that I'd be pushed into this, we do have a responsibility to our bills etc, and of course RB should have contacted me much sooner if I was accumulating that kind of money since 2004 and not getting paid! Anyway I'm glad this is taken care of. If a moderator wants to mark this as resolved that is fine, I'm not here to be a jerk. Does look like there are some things to do around RB tho. Stats for example! No excuse for a company founded in 2002 to be lacking in the stats. Ok, I'm done here. People can do what they like with the thread. On a personal level I think Colin is a good guy. Just got upset here and don't have a lot of time on my hands. Thanks! I'll post when the $ hit the bank.

Glad this is settled.

Just on my issue.

Cobus has sorted this out in less than 24 hours so Kudos to him

A player had requested there account be closed and there was an error somewhere, but I will be paid my commissions that are due.

I agree with most here about the stats, its a tad annoying not having some of the details readily available that other affiliates do.

I do see the new dashboard but have not seen if anything else has changed as yet.

Hope your issue is sorted soon WCD

Cheers

I have been using Referback for about 3 years i am now starting to dump them, something just ain't right here for many similar reasons to these posts. What i find most amazing is that they spend heaps of time & money trying to get new affs but they don't take care of the good ones they already have!

Yes, I agree with that.
Though I have to say, it is sadly the same with a lot of affy programs; they bend over backwards to get you to sign-up and start promoting them, but when you need some help or have a problem later they almost don't want to know. :(

I dumped Referback some time ago. I don't miss them at all!
